Is it WoT that contains loads of recipes?

The second volume, yes. Even comes with suggesstions for real world substitutes for ingredients that don't exist (nug, elfroot, etc).

Some nightmare fuel from the new World of Thedas, vol 2., if you are interested.
Spoiler
Do the Qunari take everything that bas do as some kind of dare or something?
"You think your Templars dish out cruel and unusual punishments to Mages? Watch this! You think Tevinter treats it's slaves badly? We make our own people slaves to the system! If they try to leave, you hunt them down? We just kill them! Dissidents causing problems, you need to lock away them or curtail that behaviour? Have you tried mindscrewing or lobotomising them into subservient workers?"
It's like they're quietly playing a game of top trumps, only it's terrifying?

... This might be very unpopular opinion but their way of thinking and doing things makes me very uncomfortable. Probably because I grew up on the borderline of "your fate is in your hands and yours alone to decide, fight for it the best you can" mentality. I can't roleplay playing some character whose personality goes well with the Qun, "just accept whatever the society assign you to as your destiny" stuffs. Personally I'm happy that in DA:I the Qunari race we can play is not brought up under the Qun. It'll be actually interesting to play a Vashoth with this rebel-against-your-fate mentality & interact with Bull. Bull's really really under the Qun so well...
Punishing someone for what they're born with is something I'm personally against. Heavily. That alone is reason enough for me to never align with the Qunari on Bull's quest. I'll try to refuse it downright probably in this playthrough...

I completely get this, while I'm a huge fan of the Qunari and find their culture fascinating, it's a morbid fascination at most, because half of what they do scares the living heck out of me? When I think about how I'd do under the Qun, I honestly have no idea if I'd do extremely well or end up getting mindwiped, it really could go either way? Part of me hopes I'd end up being a spy and sent far away, simply so neither the Qunari nor I would have to deal with each other or step on the other's toes?
I wouldn't mind playing as a Tal-Vashoth in future? Perhaps someone who's backstory was that they had to flee the Qun after being sentenced to death for a crime they did not commit, which made them realise the Qun was not as infallible as they'd believed? Furthermore, by the time it came to light that they were innocent, they'd already fled and been branded a deserter, meaning they could not return regardless?

So not to pull away from the lore points of discussion, but I made my first mage ( literally first mage as in I have yet to play one in the DA verse
) with every intention of romancing Blackwall - and I'll be damned if I didn't wander over to Cullen and rethink this character's choice in man. Gah, I'm weak. I probably should just avoid him all together, since I've got my archer playthrough going at the same time with him.

^ This could be very interesting.
I've never really been drawn to the Qunari as a whole due to the attributes mentioned above though.

Just received my World of Thedas, vol 2 and my new Garrus statue, which turned out to be a fair bit bigger than I was expecting. They weren't kidding when they said you could use the book as a weapon, the thing weighs a bloody tonne. Have to say some of the recipes in the book sound delicious, may have to try some of them out this weekend. Nice to see that they gave a little more background to some of the ways of the dalish, like how they cook and stuff, nice touch and will make some of the stuff I'm attempting to write a bit easier.

I played all of WE/WH last night after "fixing" Volya, then did several companion quests when I got back. Seemed to be running fine on the PC. I don't have JoH yet, trying to behave until deadlines are dead, lol.
Edit: BTW, my Cullenmance has a Alistair and my Cousland Warden in a state marriage and Zevran as her LI. I can't remember if it was ever confirmed, but I just finished the Crow sequence of missions, and I got the tree that is supposed to be connected to Zevran off with the Warden. Now I'm curious to see whether she mentions Zevran or Alistair when we contact her. I hope they managed to keep that complicated situation sorted out
Thanks.
Good to know. I will try it out over the weekend.

^ I second this! You make the game visually so much more epic.
Also, Cerulione your drawings have gotten super pretty and awesome. Great work!
second (third?) both of these.
Thanks guys, it means a lot ![]()
Guess that I've just created my very first ever OC... And unlike most people's OC, this one's not a human/elf/dwarf/Qunari... It's a Griffon. She even get the name already... Can she count as OC? OMG I'm in a complete Alistair & Pouncebeak ship-hole. She kinda de-block my writing block since drawing her had also created a one-shot story already. I'll release the story with the drawing I guess...
I feel weird to ship (in a mix of romantic-platonic soulmate stuffs) Alistair & his Griffon instead of Alistair & Warden.
Apparently one is bonded to his Griffon until death do you a part (or even die together, The Last Flight indicated that both went to Orzammar together one last time) ![]()

Oooh that's going to be interesting! A Tal-Vashoth means that this person had defied his "role" the society intended, hence making him/her a rebel. That's going to be REALLY interesting to roleplay. Your backstory is super interesting. If you're going to write it please tell me I want to read that
It's weird that the first times I played DA:O I wanted to be "the one from high places" (Cousland & Aeducan for nobility, Mahariel for Dalish elf because of that free elf in nature thing). But then I came to appreciate much more City Elf origin & Dwarf Commoner Origin & Mages. There's something more interesting in the story of a character who was branded as criminals/trash by the society, then rose up to be the person who save the very same people who condemned him/her. That's a story.

Well well, what have we here... I was just making a batch of shortbread... First baking since I get home XD
Welcome back Eric ![]()
On a different matter, can someone please tell me what's an OC mean? For example does the Warden/Hawke/Quizzy considered OC? Must an OC be always a person...?

So, at least one of moderately bearable areas, that's good. Wish I could live there instead of the Hinterlands
