I know you guys hate the lion helmet and the whole lion thing in general...and I get it (and agree), but it still looks sexay...
I would've liked a Lion helmet, and a fur coat armor ![]()

Honestly, I only hate that they got rid of it.

I just wish they gave him a helmet for those few cut scenes where it made sense. It didn't have to be a lion one or anything.

I didn't even read the comments! Sorry if they were a bit odd!
Ah I see. I never understand why you can't like more than one thing. So you could love the Dragon Age series and also at the same time love the Witcher and see the plus and the minuses of both series.
Anyway, on a positive I have finally convinced my husband to try Dragon Age Inquisition, and lets just say since then I have been pretty much banished from the front room. He is rather addicted and apparently I make odd tutting noises when he picks certain dialogue options!
Okay, what are the most important story beats for Cullen in DA2? I'd rather be able to youtube so I can write and not replay the whole thing and write. Any help would be appreciated.

Glad to hear that some DLC will be coming out soon. Or at least soonish ![]()
LOL I think he could be wearing a pumpkin on his head in that pic, and he'd still look sexy.I know you guys hate the lion helmet and the whole lion thing in general...and I get it (and agree), but it still looks sexay...
LOL How many times now have I seen a whole news article based on just those two tweets? LOL :insert slight at gaming journalism: But, yay, nonetheless.Hi all!

Um I Could write a whole manifesto on this topic. And have for the past 8000+ thread pages. Something more specific you need?Okay, what are the most important story beats for Cullen in DA2? Right now, the AU is Hawke/Cullen coming together as a couple. I'm trying to write more "off screen" stuff, and right now I've got a good lid on what happened after Enemy Among Us. I'm also going to be covering his reaction to "ser Hawke" after Acts of Mercy and watching over Leandra when Hawke and Bethany go off on expedition.
Act 2, the only real connecting beats are the ones with Emric, it's also where I'll be putting Legacy, and am I right in remembering that he led the defense of the Gallows during the Qunari invasion?
Act 3, Fault and Favor will be bigger with him being rather close with everybody. And then there's Served Cold and Last Straw.
I guess the real question is did I forget anything? Or anything anyone think I should add?

So, you want scenes where they actually talked to each other? Or where they might have talked to each other? There are a few things you can talk about with him during Act 2, like the Tranquil Solution. Amell if she exists. He'll give you his condolences on your mom after she dies and he'll apologize. On defending the Gallows from the Qunari, TBH, I don't remember if it's canon or not. I don't recall that comment in the dialogue, or anyone who would care enough about where Cullen was to mention it. But it's been a while.

I've never hated the lion motif. There are very few animals that don't have a downside when it comes to using them as a character totem or symbol. Lions have cultural implications of strength, honor, and courage. Sometimes the cultural implications can be enough, even if the reality of the animals habits make them a less ideal choice.

Less talked to each other, though I would probably do something with what happened with Ser Alrik. More, I'm looking for quests where Cullen would probably be making some kind of comment afterward even if he's not directly involved. Alrik's one, Grace and the Starkhaven refugees are another. He's going to be with Hawke for the first attack of the dwarves that leads into Legacy, I'm not sure if I want to deal with Feynriel considering, though I may deal with the templars who went to get him. And Cullen is going to be asking questions about Meredith a little earlier since he's spending off duty hours with Hawke and company.
In all, I'm just trying to get a sense of what the two of them might talk about. The AU is more about their friendship than any real action set pieces.
So for folks on Tumblr, there will be an upcoming Cullen Positivity Week on Jun 28- July 4. Details are below, with themed days. Consider participating!! If not, follow the tag #cullen positivity week.
I may have to finally sign up for Tumblr. Of course, I shouldn't even be considering another project even if it's a one-shot; I've struggled with writer's block for a week on my non-Cullen story... ![]()
Oh man have I been busy lately with work this thread moves fast. I've decided to start jewelry making at home again and I took up ceramics again I have some summer projects lined up with the possibility of making a Cullen/ Female mage lavellan project I'm still not sure yet that will probably take me a while to finish that as I'm pretty much a perfectionist when it comes to ceramics. I've already started working on my charm necklace that will probably take me a few weeks to finish depending If I like the way it turns out.
This is essentially the problem, tho, because those cultural implications don't exist in Thedas. In fact, the implications that do exist have absolutely nothing to do with him, and everything to do with the Orlesians and the Valmonts. The lion has been used *a lot* in Dragon Age, but not in a way that makes sense for Cullen. But, I'll stop there.I've never hated the lion motif. Sounds like you have a good scaffold. A lot of it I reckon will depend on the actual flow of the story.
