Well I have a question! I did already "Wicked heart" and "Perseverance" quests for Cullen, but not yet his personnal romance quest (he just asked me to go with him, for the moment I didn't go yet) because I didn't do "Here lies the abyss"!

 

What should I do?

 

Not go yet with him for his romance quest, and do "Here lies the abyss" first? or can I do it after?

Not super hot about it, although a part of me does want to put that skimpy armor on my IQ just so I can see her almost half naked next to Cullen, who in my perverted mind would be all like "mm me likey"

I guess I really am getting old. I looked at both the Avvar and qunari armors sets and reacted with "eh." I honestly have to say I like the appearance of the merc armor we start the game with better (and I don't actually like it that much, except on my rogues.) Of course, part of the problem for me is I want to add bulk, particularly in the shoulders and upper arms because I really dislike the bodies they gave us, so armors that just accentuate what I detest isn't exactly going to have me jumping up and down for joy    (and I'm betting that midriff baring armor will play havoc with the body-resizing mods.) I know there's a heavier Stonebear Avvar armor, but aesthetically it struck me as looking like you're wearing a tin can.

Actually, except for the fact he should be hairier, Blackwall's one of the few that it makes sense to me would have abs like that. He may be middle-aged, but he's still a warrior and a professional and would keep himself in good shape.

I know bikini armor gets a lot of hate in the fandom as a whole, but tbh I kind of love it (in moderation / as an option or two in a field of otherwise functional armor, and when I think it fits the character--probably only Sera and my Inquisitor will be wearing it in this case). It's fun. I've never bought an item pack for any BioWare game before, but I'm due for a small reward for finishing some dissertation stuff and I think I might actually get this one.

 

(And I hate reposting things I've [sort of] posted here before but I hate not mentioning Cullen at all in a post here more, and I don't know the answer to the above question about his Honnleath quest because I've never had the discipline to wait. SO: I used the tumblr positivity week just now as an excuse to rework something I did for p. 4000; the face had always bugged me, so I picked an angle that worked better for the body reference I was using, changed it to DA:O Cullen, and now I like it much better Possibly-mildly-NSFW uncropped version is on tumblr here.)

Yeah, the muscles worked on Blackwall, except for the utter lack of hair. I mean, WTF BW? And they, like, squeezed Solas in the middle, like some kind of  deformed playdough. Ah well. 

 

I love the little belly on the ladies in the qunari armor, tho. I like how they look strong but realistic.

I know that there is a part of romance in "Here lies the abyss", and now I have the option the go to Ferelden with Cullen for his romance quest. I just wonder if I should keep that for after the "Here lies the abyss" quest (I don't want to have my romance scenes in the wrong order)

Last time I played the game it was February

Haven't play anymore since so my memories can be faulty (my canon quizzy PT isn't even finished )

 

Let's say it like this to avoid spoiler. After doing both wicked & here lies the abyss there's another romance scene with Cullen and personally I feel the game paced  faster & feel a bit more urgent afterward so personally I'd avoid going to Ferelden afterward, it just doesn't make sense to me, the quizzy has too much things to do. Between WIcked/Abyss it's just more leisurely & feel more right (for me) for the Ferelden.

 

There's also another romance scene after Temple of Mythal. And one for the ending (like all LIs)

 

That romance scene after wicked & abyss (for me) feels a bit more impactful if his Ferelden quest is completed. That's personal preferences though.

OK, thanks for the advice. I feared that the Ferelden quest might sound too much like a conclusion to the romance ans would feel out of place if I do it before the Here lies the abyss quest.

Oh, no, I'd say the Ferelden quest feels exactly like the opposite: like a beginning. But I had that quest and the next romance beat kind of piled up one after the other, so it might be nicer to do the Ferelden quest and then allow some time before you return from Abyss. Of course, ymmv.

Hey, so I went to Ferelden. That scene near the lake was cute, but... so short?! I was back in Skyhold just after, and nothing else.

 

I guess I have to go further in the scenario to have more (intimate) scenes?

 

So what is Cullen's personnal quest in fact, was it just that scene near the lake?

I’ve got the feeling that we may be getting more Cullen content in the next DLC. I was playing multiplayer earlier on and I heard some voice overs from Cullen that I hadn’t heard before so I’m currently assuming that they are new. I’ve been playing MP for months so I find it hard to believe that I haven’t heard every single intro/outro voice over from the various characters but it’s always a possibility I suppose.  If I’m right however that they are new then it’s safe to assume Cullen is getting some new content, they wouldn’t get Greg Ellis back in to do voice work for a few throwaway lines for MP.

Not that I’ve heard, I was playing on the orlesian map. I can’t remember exactly what he said, it was something along the lines of “our agents were successful, not that I’m surprised” I’ve never heard that one before.
