I use DAI Cinematic Tools and all game settings on max including some extra stuff via NVIDIA Control Panel to help with AA and whatnot.

In fact before starting the game, I wondered who I would romance. I played DA O and DA2 a very long time ago (and not as a mage) so I didn't remember Cullen so well (and he didn't look THAT handsome at that time).
So I quickly checked on youtube (trying to watch just a few seconds, I didn't want to spoil the whole thing) some romance scenes of Iron Bull, Blackwall... Iron Bull seemed funny but not really my type (maybe I'll do it for fun one day. I always wanted a Qunari that could be romance-able but well) I always had a hard time liking romances where the guy is always having sex with other partners than you/talking about other lovers (like Zevran or Iron Bull).
Blackwall seemed to me a bit too weeping... and he rejects you in some scenes...
And I thought "I hope Cullen is not the "clone" of Alistair, you know, with the same temper, etc... The fearful type of guy who doesn't want to take responsabilities (I really liked Alistair, but well).
And THEN I fell upon that youtube video of the first kiss. OMG. THAT KISS. With the messenger interrupting, and then he kisses you passionately. I was conquered

Lol I know the feels I started to play DAO this year after my boyfriend asked me . I was playing only MMOS and he was pissed because I didn't liked single player games . Then he tells me that if I want to be a mage blowing stuff in the air then I need to play DA series. So , to please him I said ok let's try it. I download the game, fire up my pc and .... six months later I have a worried boyfriend, i started to write fan fiction and I dream of Cullen all day ( said boyfriend feels sad lmao )

A little update, in case anyone else stumbles onto this at some point: the issue here was that Blackwall's stealth romance flag (that you get from taking the flirt in the first conversation you have with him at Skyhold, in the battlements) was still active. Cullen took the flirt in the chess scene and did not reject my IQ as he normally would (I presume because she wasn't in an actual romance with anyone), but he didn't give the "So it has" line that ends that conversation either, just smiled as it faded out. Quickly "breaking up" with Blackwall via dialogue wheel did the trick, though, and Cullen went back to saying "So it has" as usual. (for the record, working through Blackwall's romance up to the balcony scene and actually breaking up with him then clears the stealth flag too, that's how I usually do it when I have more time than I did while testing the chess scene)
So if you're a dirty multi-flirter like me, don't forget to clean up your act before going for Cullen. Even if he won't say a word about it, he does notice your flirty shenannigans out there.

Haha, the thread knows I'm a serial romancer and terrible at commitment with my OCs. My final canon status is that, over the course of the three years Inquisition supposedly takes, my Quizzie briefly dated Blackwall, then had a messy affair with Sera, and finally fell in love with Cullen in the long term and commited to him for good. But it took a loooot of replays and rolling back messy saves to find the sweet spot for each romance, where one character's flags won't interfere with the other's, so for a first try at romancing Cullen, I'd recommend playing it safe, yeah.

Are they saying Inquisition is three years long now? Early on, they were saying just over one year, which seemed pretty short to me, but it's the time line I've been using.

Actually, while there's an option for a few jealous comments with the mod, I think, I just set up the packaged mod without any of that. Honestly, the only way I'll ever romance Josephine is this way. I tend to give my PCs very different personalities and there are a couple of them that this fits best.

yeah my quizzy's have different personalities course my current quizzy has a story going on where there is a bit of tension going on with 2 people with whom she has/is involved with so far its been a clustered roller coaster ride of emotions. I'll most likely add the mod in it's mighty tempting

yeah see I miss the way you'd get confronted in DA:O or they'd comment in banter I wish we would have gotten some kind of banter,drama and jealousy I loved the banter between Alistair and Morrigan in dao.

I'm trying not to get too excited about the DLC. For one, several people either aren't in it (if it's post-Cory, and it sounds as if it is) or they're the center of the story - either Leliana, Vivienne, or Cass should be Divine and not around. That pretty much eliminates at least one of them from being in the DLC...unless something happens to the new Divine, and the hints point to the qunari, the deep roads, and/or Solas, mostly. I'd love to see more Cullen (and most of the others,) but I'm concerned the DLC is being written in response to the people who wanted the ending to be more tragic, etc. Or maybe I'm just extra pessimistic tonight because I'm assdeep in moving boxes, etc., lol.

This has been debunked. David Gaider answered a fan question about how long the game takes and said three years, then later clarified that he meant that's how long the devs took to make the game. He has already said before that they don't know and won't estimate how long it takes in-game.

On DLC, since we know that Leliana's voice actress has recorded new material, I'm going to remain optimistic that in at least one of the upcoming DLC, we'll see the advisors. I'm frankly much more excited about post-game material than *yawn* more cut side quests from in game (*cough* Jaws of Hakkon *cough*). So I'm going to stay optimistic! Ain't no way they'll make the Solas romance sadder (except perhaps as one choice amongst several for the masochists among us), so I just can't see the ending being universally tragic. Not from the folks that turned Cullen into the Abercromby and Fitch poster child.

Yeah! Unpacking seems to go on forever, but I've always found it much less stressful since you aren't meeting a deadline. I start moving on Wednesday, movers come on Thursday... July seems to be the month for moving this year.
