I knew that if I posted something now, no one would notice because everyone is so captivated by the new DLC.  ;)

Haven't gone up to see the issue, but most of patch nine we mp stuff, so it may be something with the DLC, though that would be odd.

I've been reading reviews from people playing dwarves; there is definitely some extra dialogue for them, and some extremely important lore (think how some of you feel about gaps in Cullen's DA2 to DAI history - this fills some of that s**t in for dwarves.) However, even though Cullen doesn't appear, I would think this DLC is incredibly relevant to him.

whelp, that'll teach me to remember that email subscriptions to the thread don't hide or even indicate spoilers...

I'm not playing a dwarf, but there's definitely a lot of lore and codex entries are just amazing.

Yeah, damn race gating.

I'm hearing a lot of reports that it took 4-5 hours to complete Descent, and hm... I'm thinking people that finish that fast are either playing on Casual or at very low levels, because playing post-game at level 24 on a harder difficulty is taking me forever, lol. I've burned through those 4-5 hours already and haven't even completed the second part of the main quest yet.

I`m playing on normal with my dw rogue lvl 27, i`m five hours in and i still have to do the last level and the majority of the side quests.

There really is B)! I`ve decided to play this dlc with my dwarf first and i`m really enjoying the extra dialogue!

So in case people were still toying about times to complete the DLC.. lvl 27 mage, first run through, took me 7-1/2 hours to fully complete. Only one little break to go get a cup of tea.

And I also now wish I had a dwarf Inquisitor.. this however does give me reason to go create one, hello Inquisitor for playthrough number 15.

erm On topic: So many Expedition table stuff requiring Cullen as advisor choice.

There may be some good news on the DLC front announced at PAX Prime. Keep your fingers crossed, Solasmancers!

Oh, no, R2, I'm sorry!

Thanks guys. I think I may have averted my eyes in time to skip the major stuff, aside from proper nouns of things/people who will show up.

Hmm. TBH, I may be the only person who reads the thread that way, but it's something to be cognizant of for really major spoilers. Especially if you start a sentence and then just cut straight to a spoiler midsentence, since the tags themselves just don't show up at all in the BSN emails so there's no indicator that you've switched to spoiler land. Maybe just typing a warning that the following is a spoiler (like the word "spoiler")?? Then a reader has a chance to skip over the spoiler if they're being so reckless as to read that way. ^_^

FYI, spoiler tags also decloak when quoted as well.

You know, I knew this (though I don't read anything by e-mail and had forgotten it could be read that way) back when the game released, but it's been at least 7 months since I was reminded, and I sometimes have trouble remembering what produce I bought yesterday (I'd claim it was my age, but I've always been absent-minded, lol.)

LOL Naw, we've all forgotten. I do it myself! But now that every other post has spoiler tags in it, I realized what was going on. :)

Plus... at this rate, I may never finish the damn DLC given how hard it seems to be. I had thought that level scaling would be good for my lev 21 IQ, but instead, it means that even if I get to really high level, the baddies will just scale to be invincible, too.  Pfft.

To tell the truth I didn't know that. I'll remember for the future.

Use big warning sign.

Fights... Yeah... Sometimes I regret bringing two mages, but somehow I manage thanks to the fact that Aine is Knight Enchanter.

I unfollowed this topic because of that spoiler thing, got spoiled through an e-mail of notification last time (about Solas)... Here it's hidden, but in the e-mails the spoilers are not hidden unfortunately.

Oh, and for the black screen, it's right: it happens only if I try a kiss just after another kiss. Cullen found another way to tease the IQ: just one kiss at a time! That's cruel :(

Good to know that it's meatier than the 4 hours sounded. Seems it just depends on your style of play how quickly it goes. I've only gotten to the first camp so far... and I can already feel that this one is going to kick my butt. My dual-wielder has never been the strongest IQ, so this may be beyond her.

It really depends. What specialization are you running?

Tempest, but I don't really feel like I've ever gotten the hang of her. And eight quick slots for skills just isn't enough! Why have 40 skills when you can only use them 8 at a time? Bah. Sorry, now I'm just grumping. :/

Flask of Fire, Thousand Cuts. Rinse and Repeat lol.

What's your party made of?

so far Solas (who hasn't been reviving grr), Cass, Varric. I was thinking of dumping Varric and bringing along another warrior.

I wouldn't do that. Mage, tank and two good dd seems to be perfect for this DLC.

Have you tried putting Revival on priority? I don't do that personally, but I've heard it helps.

I'm with you there! I've started trying to intentionally spec as many passive abilities as possible in order to get the maximum effect for every point of used on abilities, sigh. I don't get why they insisted on hamstringing PC capabilities, it's not as if you can MP across platforms.

I would recommend Bull. Varric barely has any lines.

I haven't gone into the behaviors yet, but I may need to. Thanks for the suggestion. I took revival out of his eight slots since he used to do a good job of reviving on his own, but now I feel like I have to make him do it manually, which means one less spell slot.

TBH, I'm not really keen on having to be so strategic, so looks like I'm in for a trudge. The first big darkspawn battle everyone but me died and I was almost out of healing pots, on casual. LOL Granted, I wasn't being very careful, but, ugh. It's also been about six months since I played regularly, so I'm rusty.

Do the consoles get more?? I realize I'm not even sure how that works. Is it just a wheel, where you toggle through them all or something?

Also, R2 make sure that Revive is set to Favorite in Solas's tactics.
