LOL No, not really at all, since Witch Hunt was pretty much a kick in the teeth for folks who wanted closure for their Warden with Morrigan. So, now Trespasser may be more similar to being 'Wolf Hunt' than I realized.
I don't think it means the breakup is necessarily permanent, but Solasmancers will only have a small window to resolve their story with him before he goes off to do the rest of his story in potential future installments either without her or with her as an NPC in the future. It's something. But not what, at least, I had hoped.
I honestly never actually hoped for more than being to follow him through the Eluvian to do whatever. Two things that are relatively certain are that he won't be a romance option again and she won't be a playable character.
I admit, right now I've swung really far toward pessimism. I have yet to get anything I really wanted in DAI in terms of romance, lol, though the Solas-Lavellan pair would come close if she did get to stay with him, so the fact I'm hoping for even that much probably means it won't happen. Apparently I'm constantly at the opposite pole of what they think people want.
So we will meet Solas once again in Dragon Age 5 and there he will talk about how Lavellan is elsewhere raising their children ? Because that's what Morrigan does.
Or if he mentions her, it's that she's off doing something important like the Warden.
Speaking of loose ends that I've despaired of them wrapping up, I know they won't bring the Warden back as a playable character, but they're wrapping up DAI, and the Warden has now been missing at least 4 years, if not 6 or 7, sigh. Nice to dangle the possibility of curing the taint so our Wardens can actually have a happy ending and then let it vanish into the void, sigh.
