And one last thing, did it ever get explained why Cullen's nightmares are worse off the lyrium? One would think that it would be the other way around.

 

Lyrium "numbs" the person somewhat. It's in... either a codex entry or a dialogue line, I really can't remember now, but there's a reference in the game to how Templars sleep more quiet and still when given lyrium because it numbs consciousness (there's also a reference to how lyrium makes you feel like you're seeing things through a haze). So under the effects of lyrium Cullen would sleep better, because he'd less aware of his nightmares, or the lyrium would numb down the panic. Without the lyrium blurring his throughts, he's completely aware of everything, presumably remembers the nightmares more vividly, "feels" them better when he awakes, etc.

I've had npc banter errors about this before but- I had Celene and Briala co-rule and 2 seconds into the council, Teagan made a comment about Gaspard on the throne? Like I definitely killed him... get your crap together guys. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm gonna check the keep right now and see if it bugged.

 

Just double-checked the keep. It's locked in there as Celene+reconciled Briala so... Gaspard stop haunting me.

I think he was just talking about Cullen's personality there? Not anything about how lyrium affects him, I mean. I don't remember the line exactly now, but Cole is talking about some Templars being angry or violent in that conversation, and how Cullen is "different," as in kinder, gentler.

Well, this slide is more a combination of not romanced + kept on lyrium + that specific Inquisition fate.

He doesn't have much purpose left without the Inquisition, since he's not romanced he doesn't even have the IQ to live for, and the addiction takes him. It's grim, but under those circumstances, not unexpected.

 

I have a lot of thoughts about how it only takes a few steps for Cullen to be in Samson's shoes and how that makes me hate Before The Dawn even more than ever, but I'm too happy with what happened a little earlier in my game to care right now so I'll just focus on the good Cullen outcomes, lalala~

 

Also, lol I hope this makes Cullen's haters happy, now they can give him a horrible ending if that's what makes their little bitter hearts content.

Everything is good. He's great, and just over a year old now. I had a fulltime job that took it's tole on me, but I had to leave it. So I once again have 'some' very limited free time here and there lol

I think I'm like 5-6 hours in, but I have a feeling I'm being extra slow about it. Wasted a LOT of time at the Palace. I thought it was worth it like a couple hours in. I am just reveling in everything, enjoying every freaking second. There's so much character stuff and banter, I'm like dying of all these feels, and it kills me I have to stop for the night to sleep. T^T And Cullen, ugh. How am I supposed to sleep tonight and then get through work.

The final DLC made me so happy especially when it came to Cullen. I can't spoil but .... just, so happy
