Honestly, I thought the dress in-game was ghastly. Mainly because it's cut low and they still haven't fixed the classic DA:O "raised neckline with collar" weirdness. You can see the neckline of the dress, and then what appears to be skin...and then a collar covering the neck seam...and then at a completely different size the actual neck. It's just eeech! If there was a mod to wear the formal suit instead of the dress during the ceremony I would take it!

Hi everyone, nowadays i`m mostly a lurker but i just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to share this Cullen journey with all you guys  !

 

 

As for Trespasser, my favorite Cullen moment

it`s the hug he gives our inquisitor in the last reunion with the advisors before going after Viddasala and Solas. I loved the wedding, the dog and the epilogue but i found this moment really touching.

lol. You really haven't gotten a glimpse of a dwarven PT, have you? I have a very extensive collection of screenshots of just a few of the conversations that take place with a chair or table in the way and others in which you can only see my inquisitor's hairline (if you look REALLY hard) or you get a shot of the wall above her head. That doesn't get into the magical height adjustments, etc.

I wonder if it's even worse with a Dalish IQ? Hopefully there will be a mod to replace it soon because while I'm thrilled people who wanted one finally got a dress, I don't like it for my Dalish IQ who likes being Dalish and doesn't want to be shoe-horned into human culture.

I'm technically a returner, though I mostly lurked for awhile and was more active in the Dorian thread for a bit... but then I went away when Hakkon came out because I wanted to avoid spoilers. Now that I am all caught up again yay

I loved that moment as well! It was very touching and I was worried for a sec he wasn't going to react at all which made me mad because I was all like "omg she just told she's dying and she has to go fight this person who might kill her even sooner and nothing?!" But then he just hugged her and that was perfect Also reminded me of the end of DAI when he hugged her returning from killing Cory because I totally hadn't expected that to happen. So it was like a hug good feeling feedback loop

Jaws and Descent can be played any time, the only limitation is recommended level being 20+. And availability of some characters after the battle with Cory.

Trespasser needs finished main game and you won't be able to explore the old areas once you start it.

I personally prefer to play Hakkon before I do the end of the game because the story feels like it fits better there. The only thing to be aware of though is the overall difficulty of Hakkon is higher than the rest of the game so I save it for right before the end.

As for DLCs I skipped Hakkon but did play Descent. It was not very good; companions do not even banter. But Trespasser is excellent and can only be played after you complete the game.

I imagine Cullen struggling/dealing with the idea that the love of his life is working on a mechanical/magical limb with Dagna, Bianca, and various gifted enchanters.  He can voice his worries to the dog, whose silence he will take for unconditional support.

Descent DLC has some ridiculous boss fights imo and not the fun kind. Unless you are aiming for achievements, I would just put it to casual to finish Descent. Also there's a new ability from Hakkon DLC that's helpful when you are playing Descent.

So, I would imagine Cullen's mabari would sense how his master would feel about the Inquisitor lacking an arm. I doubt Cullen is all too happy about that fact either. I saw a comic on tumblr about that and it hits right in the feels.

 

Besides, have you seen the size of the mabari? In-game and in the epilogue slide? The mabari is HUGE! He/she can easily help around the house and reach over counters for things! ;D

Oh yes!  I think you've done a great service adding the quality helpful in the kitchen to massively ferocious and keenly loyal (speaking of both mabari and Cullen of the Dog Lords).

The last fight in Descent is horror upon horror. And I'm talking about degree of difficulty even on Casual. Bring your A Game to that fight.

 

As others have said, Jaws of Hakkon and Descent can be played at any time during the game or after the end. But all things must be completed before starting Trespasser. Trespasser won't even show on the War Table until you defeat Cory. I did Jaws of Hakkon and Descent before the end of the game. I was well over the minimum level because I was in completionist mode.

Yeah, I had Solas, Cass, and IB, and nada por nada. I think they just scrimped on the banter on this one, letting Renn and Valta do all the talking. I'm taking Cole this time, whom I have heard has a few things to say, and Blackwall and Dorian (I think), but I'm not hopeful.

Yeah, like everyone else has said, Trespasser has to be last, because there's nothing else during or after. You don't even get an endgame save. I also liked the order of playing Descent and then JoH, partially because Descent scales to your level starting at 12, whereas JoH is fixed to 20+. I played both before I killed Cory (cough*becauseofSolas*cough).

 

Unlike others, I ended up finding Descent pretty easy playing on Casual, but maybe this is because I had built up my expectation in advance that it would be nigh impossible for someone of my limited strategic gaming ability (and after I found the gateway battles in first few minutes party-wipe hard). FWIW, I took two warriors, dual-wield rogue (me) and a mage, and I was only about level 20 when I started it.

I will say one thing, hair mods have actually made me consider playing a female qunari... mod makers have done truly exquisite jobs on female qunari hair! So sad BW didn't give a flying flip about it.
