Well, I'm happy this is happening but honestly, you don't get kudos for not being sexist. The ideal is for trailers like this to get released and for no one to say a word about it because it's perfectly normal at this point.
I meant more giving them kudos for actually listening and adjusting. There are many developers who don't so it's nice to see they did.
I perfectly understand that, feeling protective over your characters and such. P Weekes was always pretty clear that allying with the Qun was not the best move when it comes to IB as a character. Whether it was a good move when it comes to inquisition is another matter. They put it there, so it makes sense that people will roleplay it. I can perfectly understand that Qunari Bull is a different person to T-V Bull and I'm okay with betrayal. I still feel that the romance slides sting too much (especially the second one).
They are under the cut
Yea, I think I'll have to wait until I get home to see the pictures (youtube, imgur, tumblr, etc are all blocked
) I think that'll be the real determination about how I feel about it.
As for writers enjoying creating tears too much... honestly one of the greatest things as a writer is to know something you wrote touched a person deeply and made them feel something real. Personally I think the holy grail is making a person really question their views on something and have to reevaluate their positions, but that's neither here nor there. I think the reason we see so much about tears is making people sad/angry is the easiest way to get a reaction which says they were moved. It's much less often, and usually much less effusive as well, when people express how happy something made them. So it's easy to get wrapped up in the tears.
