BWAHAHHAA You think I sent it back to Dell?
Nah I gave it to my dad. Who's a real jerk, but boy does he know computers. He figured out it was the power cord and just replaced it, so now it works great again!
AND - it was the mod manager somehow?? I repaired the game, deleted mod manager, and downloaded it again. And now I'm testing mod by mod, but so far so good! Everything is loading, including the Cullen romance mod
Yeah for repaired game!! Maybe they updated the mod manager since you last DLed it...
And glad you didn't let Dell touch it, lol.
Hey, there you are!Hi everyone, just wanted to sai hi to all the Cullenites after a long time
Hey, there you are!
Welcome back!
Thanks
.
Well, as some of you know, my beloved Auren Lavellan is a character i've been working on for several years and has been pledged to Cullen since before playable races returned (back then he was just going to be a very lovely human guy haha). Well, thanks to an amazing hair mod Auren can finally come to life and I'm sooo pleased!!!!
really really loving this look
It's pretty much exactly how I've imagined him all these years. Plus I just feel with this hairstyle, and tweaking i've done with his face, pushes him past 30. So instead of 28 I'm seeing him more as 32 or 33-ish. Which is closer to my own age, and with his personality (mostly annoyed/angry responses, but with softer responses around people he likes) he's becoming more of a self-insert, which he kind of was always meant to be?? Sooo I'm really happy about this ![]()
Creators bless modders!!!!
Okay... my pics killed the thread
Y'all think he's a bit ugly? The more I stare at him the more I feel he's not as good-looking/beautiful as I was hoping. But it's sooo darn hard to make a beautiful (not just cute) male elf in this CC. If anyone has made one and wants to share sliders (or knows of any good websites with sliders), let me know.
He's OK. I don't know if I would say "Beautiful," but I'm not the best judge in these matters.
Thanks I.... think lol
EDIT: I'm going to try to make the nose and lips a bit smaller. It's hard not to have puffy lips though. I've tried multiple different lip types and trying to maneuver the little marker around the square.
I'm just grateful I was able to avoid the baggy jowls that so many male elves have.
Also I wish he could have black hair, but even on Ultra the black hair is a shiny mess.
LOL Naw, thread is just slow right now. I think he looks great! I also think beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so only you can know if he fits what you had in mind. I LOVE the hair, and I can see why that makes the character for you. I also like that he looks... beefy. Not quite the right word, but something that I often find less attractive are how waiflike even the male elves can be. (just for me personally, mind!)Okay... my pics killed the thread

I think he looks great too, just been too swamped to post. I'm experimenting right now with a utility that supposedly lets you have true black hair (Cullen's Dalish gf now has green hair
,) but I'm not sure it's entirely avoiding the color shift in weird lighting. I should reload a Derzka save, change the hair color and try for the Solas Fade kiss again since that's the scene that turned me completely against their weird not-black hair. ![]()
Thanks guys! Gosh... how easily the self-doubt starts to sink in
/slaps self
Oh yeah, Auren's no delicate flower. Delicate flowers are totally great, of course. So are cutie patooties. Alin Lavellan was squarely in the cutie patooty category. But Auren's a grown ass man. Not that he would put it that way, but he is. He's an accomplished Dalish hunter, strong and tough and not easily broken. I'd put him at about 5'8, 150 lbs, and that's all muscle (naturally). Btw, what's you guys' headcanon for Cullen's height or weight? I do see him as tall, between 6 and 6'2. So w'ell go with 6'1 xD Maybe 180, 190 lbs. Add more weight to make fluffier for even warmer hugs on the balcony ♥
EDIT: And I like non-conventionally attractive player characters, too. Again, not that the traditional lovelies aren't great. But I also love seeing a square jawed woman with no make-up, or a man with a crooked noes or slightly droopy eyes. Cuteness... adds character!
Doh, forgot to add latest pics:
Changed hair to black (at least it looks black in the Hinterlands), narrowed the nose, narrowed the chin, thinned the lips.
CuriousArtemis, the only person your IQ needs to look attractive to is you.
TagiDoll, pretty much all of mine fall into the non-conventional category because it's what I like. I particularly like to run older, somewhat beat-up PCs whose features are quite distinct from each other. I only have one I think comes close to conventionally pretty, one of my dwarves:

With more and more advanced character creatures in games I love seeing unique inquisitors, with awesome "flaws" that make faces shine.
Definitely agree with this ^^ And I can't believe someone called your Adaar ugly! 1. That's rude, 2. Um, he's not?! In any case, I HAVE seen some inquisitors that were not to my taste, and know what I did, kept my mouth shut because obviously they were special to their creator!
I've seen all your dwarves, Tish, and I love them all ![]()
Confession I always made male Hawke drop dead effing gorgeous
I felt it was part of his personality, especially if he was snarky. Like you think someone that good-looking is too good to be true, then he opens his mouth and you're like, yep, too good to be true lol But of course he has a heart of gold beneath the surface ![]()

Cassandra approves! XD
I can only take crappy pictures of my TV that my xbox is hooked up to but:
Veruka Trevelyan (current Cullenmance playthrough) is the closest I have come, and I had to give her a scar because necessary.
I've been told my Adaar looks ugly before, I responded with a witty jab don't worry. I think I might change my Solas betrothed (top right) not because I don't like how she looks, but because I don't want her looking like a distant relative of my first Inquisitor.
I think the re imagining of my Hawke for Inquisition was my closest to conventional pretty. I was in a hurry to play when I made her so I took default Hawke's face, pointed her features a bit, gave her blonde bun hair and her signature gaudy pink make-up and called it a day.
With more and more advanced character creatures in games I love seeing unique inquisitors, with awesome "flaws" that make faces shine.
Nice! I like your Adaar a lot, whoever said that needs their eyes checked.
My brat pack of Quizzies, less Vetra who I posted earlier...
Am I the only person who tries to make their Quizzy look like them? I got really close on the one who I married off to Cullen. lol

You aren't, several people here do, I'm just not one. It's great if you enjoy that (and I admire the artistry involved in pulling it off,) but the last thing I want to do is look at myself for 100+ hours of game (in fact, for me, most of the fun is playing someone who looks extremely different from me.) I did try to pull off Mortica Adams in the CC but could never get closer than this:

I've created a few that look very different from myself as well. My first Quizzy was a bald dwarf; I'm tall and have more fair than Van Halen. And then there's my Qunari.
One of these days, I'm gonna make one that looks like my partner, but none of the facial hair is really sufficient. lol
And that's a pretty decent Morticia. If long hair were an option, she'd be a dead ringer!

Ugh, same, I always cringe when people talk about new tech that can allow the CC to capture your face somehow b/c a tiny part of me is afraid future games will FORCE us to play as ourselves, and I'll just crumple into a ball over it
seriously I see this mug in a mirror every day and just about hurl with disgust, not so much that I'm ugly but just it's not as if anyone ever ASKED me what I wanted to look like... enter RPGs ![]()
