Oh, no worries! I just wanted to make sure that I was understanding. I think you're also right to emphasize "in Inquisition" as I think it would have been much harder for him to accept such a thing during DA2. But he's come a long way, in terms of his own self-awareness of his issues. 

 

Whenever I write about him with a mage, like his friendship/relationship with Hawke, I tend to assign him a certain degree of confidence that Hawke is in control enough to be safe outside the Circle. So ... you present a really interesting challenge to that paradigm! How confident can he be about someone who has succumbed previously? How much does that depend on the person? Can the right person overcome his intrinsic fears? Hmm.  I think it could be a really interesting central conflict to a story about a relationship with that person!

 

 

Thank you for the fast reply and for giving me insights also im sorry for not clarifying better what I meant to say was that she was possessed during her time in the circle and goes on to romance cullen during inquisition and I tend to jumble my words when I get too nervous posting XD silly me... and well thats true cullen does seem more understanding in Inquisition though I believe he would be quite wary also... I think it depends on the type of story you want to tell. I believe that whatever it is, this can be built into a good flow. (IMO) the line of Spirit & Demon is actually not as thick as we might think. In fact, there are possibilities that there are beings in the middle of this. To be "possessed" is not a thing as simple as the Chantry & the Circle would love us to believe (IMO again). I believe that nothing is set in stone foundation. We only understand a glimpse, and beyond politics, what do we know?

 

In a kind of "possession", Wynne & Cassandra were once possessed remember?

 

But, His but is so wrinkly. I don't want an old god but. I want a but fresh out of a can of Templar armor.

Umm sorry for the double post and OOT but I played Trespasser again, find that I actually don't like Solavellan epilogue and decided to fix it for my girl Revas. Luthiel and Cullen will get another fix later on but I actually like their ending already...

I really like party banter compilations on Youtube and I always listen to them whenever a new DA game comes out. I want to listen to the original voice files for Winter Palace banter without background effects but I don't think there is a WP compilation. I tried looking but I didn't find clips from WP.

 

Can anyone who plays the PC version make a pack of the WP voice files and upload them? I'm assuming there are single audio clips in the installation directory, like WAV files or something.

It's a big part of the avvar lore that you learn in JoH. Unfortunately, none of your companions or advisors really react to any of the things you learn. I'm afraid I have no idea how to do that, but I know that danaduchy has uploaded pretty much every possible soundfile from DA:I to youtube. Could you not find the Winter Palace banters there?

In my opinion, JoH was AMAZING. And resulted in my new, inappropriate pixel crush. ahem. I won't spoil it. Descent was beautiful and even more chock full of jaw dropping lore. The story itself was kind of a slog with fight after fight, and the companions on average had about 0 things to say throughout, but if you like lore -- lore that may shape the face of Dragon Age to come -- it's also worth it.

Yes and I'm not a lore person so I really resent the money I spent on Descent lol Looks like I should've gotten JoH, although what bugged me the MOST about Descent (companions not saying anything or reacting to anything) sounds like it was repeated in JoH, too.

 

I don't know what they were thinking; surely they know companions are the reason we play DA. Maybe they just couldn't get the actors back in the studio.

The party members do make comments during Descent, though. Varric makes a few snarky remarks and Cole consoles Valta.

By "making a pack" I meant making a ZIP file of all the Winter Palace audio files. Is that possible?

 

I've really tried searching Danaduchy's banter compilations for the WP comments but they don't seem to be there. I think they're missing. The closest I've found are non-Advisor characters talking about sneaking in.

Depend if it's for which character but Danaduchy & other data miner usually have access to those ressources. If it's about Solas you can always ask Corseque in tumblr, she has mined a good deal of the data. I think that Font of Nothing also had some ressources on Cullen?

A freaking city inside a Titan's belly. A sea deep under the rock... Journey to the Center of the earth anyone?

I adore Descent (at least once I got past the one broken scene, lol.) But I love dwarven stuff, the new NPCs, and some scenes were lovely!

I only played through the three DLC's for the first time last week and I really enjoyed them all. I love a good dungeon crawl and there are so few in the actual game so descent was a nice change of pace.

I thought JoH area was so beautiful and really liked the way the story in it played out quest wise. All areas of the original would have been loads better if they had all followed this model.

And Tresspasser was excellent. Got to marry Cullen, woo hoo, and enjoyed the interactions with everyone else. Can now see what people meant about the Cole being human bit. Why I don't personally have an issue with him getting together with the bard something about the cut scene is off and to me comes across a bit creepy.

So I loved them all and Tresspasser made me love Cullen even more!
