*raises hand* Twitter hack was me as well as my devart! I'm laughing now that we gauge time here by events that required mod intervention. We should get a trophy for "Weirdest Thread Content".

Oi I don't want you to feel bad and think I actually forgot; that was an awful time. I knew it was you but wasn't sure if you wanted me to say so in the thread :P

Whoops! I'm a little slow and didn't realize that was your angle. No worries though. My bad!

Sigh... I hate when people do that. Some people can't afford to have their RL identity pinned up like this online for fandom purpose for Creator's sake... >_<

No worries, I didn't exactly make it obvious

True, true... though with my current little book project I am definitely merging my fandom life with my professional life and it's a little scary, to tell the truth. And with that in mind...

So Tish tagged me and a bunch of other people on Tumblr to do this meme, where you show off all your player characters you've created (well 8 of them at least) and put yourself in the middle; it's called "character v. player" and I did it and it was really fun! Here is mine:

I would love to see you guys' as well  ^_^ You can use an avatar or drawing of yourself if you don't want to post a real selfie, or be like Tish and just post a ninth character :D But half the fun is seeing the real person behind all these lovely digital faces :P

Well, in that case, here's mine:

All DA:I, but instead of a selfie, I put one of my fanfic characters, Arisha, in the center as she looks (or as best I could do) in the DA:I CC. Grandma Taina is probably closest to me, personality-wise. :P

*Who is this Cullen guy I keep hearing about?
Cullen is a Templar whom you first meet in Dragon Age: Origins. Remember that extremely distraught Templar you meet during the Circle of Magi main quest, screaming at you to kill all the mages – even possibly the innocent? In the pink force field cage? Yeah, that was him.

His role here is small, even if you play as a mage yourself, so it is certainly easy to forget in the scope of the entire game.

Quick! Guys! I need a fun/pretty/not-overly-soft name for an Inquisitor in a smutty ficlet I'm doing! She's Trevelyan and thus far I have Danika but it's not quite right. HALP!!!!

Sophie is a good name for a quirky Quizzy. (It's also the name of my dog who's very quirky so I'm biased towards the name :D!)

That's a good one. You see, I suck at names. It takes me forever to come up with one. Most of the names I use are from a decade and a half of writing. Some are even toss-aways I never used but liked too much once I though of it, such as Danika. But Sophie is good. Do you think it'll sound sexy coming from Cullen?

I think so.  Though, I hope I didn't sound weird for suggesting my dog's name XD.  I just really like the name and I thought it sounded good for what you asked.

Other good names would be Liv or Alex.

You'll laugh, but one of my favorite wardens I named Lexia because I was reading an article on dys-lexia and thought, Hmm... that would make a good name.

For a quirky girl why not opt someone who was saddled with a very feminine name and so goes by a cool almost tomboy-ish nickname? Like Jo, Harry, or Dell? (Joanna, Harriet, Dellphine).

That's kind of where I was going with Danika, as it can be reduced to Dani. But I find Danika reminds me of yogurt. lol!

Edit: And Joey used to be a favorite tomboy nick... ;)

Actually... I think I have it! Nic! Or Nico. Short for Nicoletta. Her mother insists on using 'Letta' and some try to impose 'Nicki' but she just wants 'Nic' or 'Nico'.

I thought back to the days I was naming my son and recalled one of the front runners for his name was 'Niccolo' and then thought of the feminine version. lol!

Since I headcanon that she has an Antivan mother (something Josephine is all too happy about) and they seem to be a lot like Italians, to me anyway, so the name would make sense. What do you all think?

I like it :) Same name as my favorite Shepard, though his full name is Nicodemus. I just figured there's no way you can be named Nicodemus and NOT be a bad ass

My vote is for Nicoletta. So many nickname options with that.

And agree with the badassery of Nicodemus for a guy name, Artie.  Reminds me of the old prophet rat in Secret of NIMH.  ^_^

YESSS I wonder if he was in my subconscious when I thought of the name?? That character really scared me as a child for some reason, but then again, pretty much that entire movie scared me...

I believe I initially got the name from the Bible, and while I'm not necessarily religious, I do think the Bible has some amazing character names in it, and a lot of the stories are great, too.

LOOOOTS of nickname options with that one. I think I'll make Varric the only one who gets away with calling her "Nicki" though. And even though she won't appear in this story, I have it in my head that Vivienne refuses to call her by anything but her full name, much to Nic's annoyance. lol! Everyone else uses Nic and Nico interchangeably.

There's a male character in the Cal Leandros book series - which I love - whose name is Niko (he's actually Cal's brother) and he's such a badass. Though I think Niko was his full name. He's all noble and described as having somewhat aristocratic features and he's all into martial arts and the calm centered one... I think the character I'm envisioning is a female version of him. lol!

I approve of Nicoletta, it's a good name. And it's an italian name too :)

Funny enough, here in Italy we do use the nickname 'Nico' for shortening full names like Nicola and Domenico, which are for men :P.

Me too. I loaned mine to my dad when I bought the newest one but he has yet to return them. In fact, the last time I spoke with him; he was all giddy and telling me about this "great new books series" he discovered and began to describe the brothers and I was like "Yeah, dad; I know. I'm the one who gave you the books because I thought you'd like them." He didn't recall that. Which is a bummer because he's difficult to pick books for but I just knew he'd like them and I gave them to him. *pouts* Guess I'm never getting them back and will have to purchase them again. I had "Nightlife", "Moonshine" (bought that one first actually) "Madhouse", "Deathwish" and "Roadkill".
