I... literally... forgot... I had that scar Mine is on my chin actually. I simply got it from falling at school, my chin smacking into the concrete. Somehow though I think his must have been worst? A sword or dagger slicing across his face like that *shudder* ... I promise I don't think this when I see actual people with scars; it's just somehow the close up of it gave me a super shot of painful empathy

When I was about 10, a boy I knew suffered a hideous wound to his upper lip that left the same kind of scar Cullen has. He fell on new rail tracks and the edge had a burr... I would say a blade injury is all too plausible for what happened to Cullen. And he'd have might not had access to healing magic at the time so it scarred.

Whenever I see a good shot of Cullen's lip, I have to work hard not to let the memory of that boy surface because it was an awful scene, awful night and the aftermath was gruesome that first week. *shudders* I can totally relate to where Artemis is coming from.

Most of the time I'm cool but sometimes my brain goes there if I let it.

Does Cullen even know what a vacation is?

 

The game giving us the option to joke "Do you ever stop working?" always struck me as the writers admitting that Cullen is often a bit of a workaholic, or is someone who does find it hard to unwind and relax from time to time. That being said, we definitely see him engaged in more recreational activities (mind out of the gutter) as the game goes on, showing he has come out of his shell more.

 

Of course, his workaholic tendencies might have been him throwing himself into his work because it kept his mind off the withdrawal, but he seemed to have that trait in DA2... of course, that could have been him throwing himself into his Templar duties to take his mind off what happened at Kinloch?

 

But to answer the question... probably the Beach. Albeit with an "appropriate" amount of light paperwork to catch up on.

Agree with the workaholic diagnosis. Particularly during DA:I. But I could see a significant other dragging him away.

That would be fun to imagine. Someone getting uptight Cullen to unwind. Him resisting, ultimately enjoying himself, but disavowing it later. 

 

His brother visiting Skyhold. Or perhaps he goes to visit his family in South Reach and gets dragged somewhere by his brother while Mia et al. entertain the Inquisitor. 

 

Funny, now that I see the end of Fool's Errand, I'm far more excited about DA:I-era Cullen stories now. LOL

He does not that's why he is awesome when he's playing chess he is just doing his job in a creative manner.

No worries, I didn't exactly make it obvious

 

 

True, true... though with my current little book project I am definitely merging my fandom life with my professional life and it's a little scary, to tell the truth. And with that in mind...

 

So Tish tagged me and a bunch of other people on Tumblr to do this meme, where you show off all your player characters you've created (well 8 of them at least) and put yourself in the middle; it's called "character v. player" and I did it and it was really fun! Here is mine:

Bwahahahaha I see that yeah! I've been tagged on that too but seriously now I have like... 3 kids? And 1 of them isn't even a DA character that had ever been created in the CC. I mean he's originally from my firefly trail project and is an RP character I played a lot.

 

PS: he ends up being Luthiel's big brother. Basically now existing in several age group (7-11 yo Hogwarts AU, 25-26 yo modern Bagelverse AU, 1000- 3000 yo ancient elf in Arlathan AU) so basically there's lots of possibilities in term of appearance.

 

As someone who don't use ANY mod and has no talent in the CC this will have to take a while since I need 8 paintings of my kids  XD. Might as well do the Art vs ARtist tag
