Wow. Every time I see a hair mod like that I just want to send it to whomever was in charge of hair at BW with the note "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF."

I'm still debating whether we need to create a "Your hair is bad and you should feel bad" thread at some point?

Seriously! At this point I'm not expecting to have decent hair from a BioWare game ever. EVER!

Yeah, I still think the DAO hair beats almost everything in DAI handsdown. And that's kinda sad at best :P

You've played DAO way more than me so I'll assume you're totally right although I do remember cycling through the male hairs a million times but ultimately used the same hair for both my elf boys

I didn't say any of them were particularly good, just better than DAI. :P

Even if it doesn't move  - at least it can look sort of natural .... right? Not like rice noodles or lego hair?

I absolutely believe that the reason Bioware had  so many bald styles is because they  simply weren't able to perfect hair... which is so odd because of all the other wonderful and incredible detail elsewhere in the game.

But they did give us Cullen so its not all bad LOL.

Maker's breath. I wandered out into the rest of BSN to get my fix since it's been so quiet in here...

It's like the comments section on a YouTube video out there!

Let's talk about how cute Cullen is. What's your headcanon for the hair-taming that took place somewhere between Kirkwall and Haven?

Did Cassandra sit him down and force him to let her put some pomade in there?

Did he get so stressed out that he tugged the curls out?

Or maybe he saw the cover of one of Cassandra's romance novels and try to make himself look like one of the guys on the cover?

And, can I say, I was so happy to see the bronut (goatee thing... ick!) go away!

Well since I headcanon Cullen as being older than he is (35-40), I like to think that maybe he thought the curls made him look too boyish, and he was becoming self-conscious and worried that people wouldn't respect him as Meredith's stand-in and then the commander of the inquisition. So... bye-bye curls :P

I went through something similar with my own noodle hair when I first started working in DC after years in the entertainment industry. But now it's as insane as ever because booooooo on that!

The process of him figuring it out is fun to think about. In my head, he befriended a woman somehow (more like she saw he needed a little help in matters feminine and asserted herself--maybe it was Hawke!) and she insisted on him letting her style his hair. He liked the reaction he got from women around town (though he was still too shy to act on it) so much that he asked her to teach him how to do it himself--though he swears her to secrecy because he's so self-conscious about it. I should write a chapter in my long fic about him running out of hair grease and the mini panic that ensues before Leliana or Josephine steps up with some styling cream for him. All the blushing and stuttering... I die!

Aww that is cute  I feel like I read or saw a fic/comic that had him running out of gel?? I'm sure it's been drawn before at least. Is styling your hair a feminine thing? I know some guys who are nuts about their hair and general bodily maintenance. Could just as easily been a fellow bro who helped him out

I'm gonna go with he felt he needed a change and needed to look more respectable now that he was working with the right and left hands of the Devine. I know, very boring, but also a very responsible attitude. Mind you he probably had a lot of girls offering to sit in his lap and help him with the hair removal.  ;)

So can you guys believe I've been given a warning.

Someone had been starting a bunch of troll-ish posts in the MEA forums; I mean, this person had some ridiculous username that was obviously meant to mock feminism / LGBT / SJW / etc., they even had Anita Sarkeesian as their profile pic, and they repeatedly created threads where they pretended to put forth "innocent" requests that obviously meant to inflame the haters. All I did was point out that this person was likely a troll and that people should stop responding to their posts. So I wake up with a warning.

Me. The morons running this website gave ME a warning.

So at least for now I'm leaving the BSN; I am fed up with this website and the way it's being run. I don't really have anything else to contribute here anyway. I didn't care for DAI and frankly I feel there's nothing more to be said about Cullen. As for ME, it's literally impossible to find a thread where you can discuss the game with other excited fans. The forum is filled with gross, nasty, prejudiced, bigoted, racist, troll-ish a$$hats, but no, give me a warning. Great job.

Aw, I'm so sorry! Yeah, given how tame these parts are these days... it's too easy to forget that most of BSN eats its own young. :hugs:

I understand your frustration. That's why I almost never post anymore, and the few times I do it's always grumpy.

It doesn't help if you call them morons, y'know. Those are people like you and me.

There are thousands of active users in the forum. You can't expect the Mods to be fair all the time. Their job is to avoid confrontations from escalating further, not to apply justice to everyone.

So sorry to hear  - i for one enjoy your posts! I once had a post I wrote removed by a moderator at another site and I was devastated. Apparently the moderator thought I was being disrespectful to another poster. The poster had written something really nasty about a reality star and I wrote jaded much LOL? My post was removed and I received a notice that it was removed because I was being disrespectful. I was told I could repost so long as i removed the word jaded. Man did that sting! I totally consider myself respectful. The way the notification was written was very hurtful to me and I did write back and suggest that if they construed something as disrespectful  it was fair game for them to remove but perhaps the notification that a post had been removed could be written in a less demeaning manner. Never did hear back from them. Still bothers me ....:(

Please continue to post!

Does it matter if your Keep story had a  female Mage as the warden for DA:O if you are romancing Cullen as a Mage?

If you have a female Mage as Warden, there are one or two extra lines you can trigger if you are romancing Cullen. I don't think it matters what class you are, but as I've only used that combination once, I can't swear to it. I couldn't resist putting a mage warden romancing Leliana in the Keep because I imagine some interesting awkward moments between Leliana and Cullen :P

If I'm not mistaken, Cullen has those speech options about a female mage Warden regardless of whether you're currently romancing him or not. I played through DAI a few times with a female mage Warden World State and always got to pry into his affairs. He'll say something if the mage Warden was a male, too. But it's not as amusing. ;)
