Soo, I'm super tired but I've found some program that allows for offline copy of the websites. I'm testing it on our thread, cause I figured if we won't manage to move it somehow it's good to have it in some shape or form. It took me >3h so far. Now I wonder why I chose 5k+ thread to do the testing

I wonder if we can set up our own sub Reddit? God, I really don't want to go to Reddit. And I heard that they don't want us over there. They're afraid of our toxic influence. That's what I heard today about people going over to reddit.

Pile of rubbish, I've been on reddit for several years now and even managed to post every now and again on ME sub. They have a snake in their midst and they don't know it. It's not like we're cut off the external world in here, lol. I just don't particularly like the reddit format for discussion. Still, I feel like a refugee. I guess "the bsn blight" will spread and populate the corners of the world wide web

I'm going wherever the main body of Cullenites and dwarfdom goes, with a couple of exceptions like Reddit. I have a tumblr (tishinada), but I'd rather have some sort of forum where we can have actual discussions. Hopefully we can get enough people for it to be sustainable, but besides all the other problems with them closing and erasing the forums (like all the useful information not available anywhere else,) this is going to massively splinter fandom. I expect by the time DA4 launches, there'll be a few nodes run by and tightly controlled by a few YouTube names with everyone else fragmented and almost invisible to each other.

 

DAI was one of the very few games I've ever gotten the week they launched, largely because of the excitement that the forums built up. I think the last time I bought a game the first week it came out was MoO 3, which was so bad compared to the earlier ones I swore I'd never waste money like that again (I played SWtOR, but my daughter gave me that for XMas .) So, I go back to waiting for games (or BW games at least) to be out long enough to know if it's worth my energy and money, and probably wait for them to go on sale. No game is worth full price if I have to skate across a dozen social media sites and dozens of individual devs pages searching for someone who'll answer a basic question about a game problem.

VroomVroom sounds the most interesting. I have reservations about reddit.

 

What would it entail to start own forum? And it would it have enough people? I think the Cullenites would actually be good stewards of a new forum. And that's a completely unbiased op,  .

 

I would like the forum to have both ME and DA options for discussions. Maybe also a MP section; cuz they don;t know what to do, too. Last I checked.

I checked out Reddit; they and their mods are preparing their ban buttons. Seriously.

 

I went to forum in my siggy for now. It's soothing to know there is already a place to hang out, even if I may choose elsewhere later.

 

More relevant to the thread; Cullen has best repeatable kiss scene. I know my Quiz can't possibly be taken by surprise every time, but I like to imagine Cullen's enthusiasm for my Quiz's lips just overwhelms her senses.   I want to play through all the romances but deep down inside, I can't wait to get back to Cullen. I have the Desk Scene as a video on my phone.

So far 13.5h on the clock. I think maybe next week we'll know the answer.  

 

Edit: it's mostly due to the crappy transfer rate which seems to be program related. I don't even have 1 gig yet and I'm prepared it's going to be much much more (with high res pics and vids posted in here). Still worth a go I guess.

Yeah, I saw it too. I'm up for anything, even saving it on private pcs. We're a huge community, we could bring this content together over the years. Still I'm hoping for more informed minds to come up with some solutions.

Could you just post one page at a time to a new forum?

I'm copy pasting some smaller threads I value. I do appropriate formatting to make it more legible. Bolding screen names and adding dividers ----
