It's difficult to keep up with all this activity as everyone scrambles. Just wanted to drop some update info for you:

I don't know how many of you venture out if this thread these days but I've seen several regulars in multiple threads decide to wait and see where hungr takes the twitter thread and will then move accordingly. May be worth it to wait and see before deciding on a place so quickly.

 

Hrungr picked a site, though I'm not sure if it's/it'll be the only one.

Heh, I gess you could talk with her to change to a more traditional one .
Though considering in the end people might be able to import the data from here, it might not matter much.

Are they looking at a way to import the data? If so, then that may be the natural place. Starting over from scratch and having all those "what do we call ourselves? let's give our thread a cutesy title" conversations all over again sounds ... less fun. 

 

Curious why that was one of the first threads created there... was it from someone around here?? I though we were still discussing.

I don't know if Cyonan is looking around for importing the data himself, but some people are trying doingthat (one for her site, one for everyone who wants to add them to their site, I think). It might be that Cyonan will collaborate with them to import the data. Agreed. I don't recall ever seeing that SN in here. I appreciate that people are trying to be helpful and encourage us to join them, but it would be nice if the thread felt like home and not visiting someone else's place...

 

Edited: BTW, if anyone is following me on Tumblr and I haven't followed you back, IM me with your BSN screen name so I know who you are. I'm cautious about following blogs if it isn't immediately obvious it's mostly gaming, and I suspect sometimes I just look on the wrong day and the stuff I follow.

We've gone off-topic here many times and the moderators have been very generous in not closing us down. Truthfully, I think anywhere we go, we shouldn't really be considered a Cullen group since we are a diverse culture so to speak. I've signed up at the bsn boards, but I'm willing to go anywhere everyone else is as well.

So far i`ve signed at Cyonan BSN boards, therealdragonage and Fexelea forum. They all seem nice and so far i can`t tell which one is better (specially cause i haven`t had courage to post in any of them yet... just lurking  ), although knowing that the twitter thread is going to the BSN boards will have some influence on my choice. But i will also go wherever you guys decide to create a new thread cause although i haven`t posted much lately, the Cullen thread always felt like a safe haven to me.

 

And as some of you said maybe we could create a thread not fully Cullen centered, some place where we could safely discuss dragonage in general without worrying about being off-topic. When Bioware announce the next DA game i think we all will want to discuss and speculate about it like we did with DAI (those were fun times ). But i`m ok with a Cullen thread too, i`m ok with whatever is decided.

I kinda like the first one as well, which has pretty much always summed us up (which of course is why it still figures in my ugly non-bannery sig to this day  ). Another option is one of our old alternate names, the Kitten Orphanage, from something a BSNer once said about how shutting down the Cullen thread would be like closing a kitten orphanage. It was our refuge from haters for so long... 

 

 

Independent of the name. . . where would it live? I also like the idea of joining what seems to be a cloning of the BSN over at bsn.blahblah.com because we can still run into old faces and pop around other BSN-like likes, like MEA. Maybe they'd give us space in an off-topic area.

I definitely don't take credit for creating it and the fact that it was in your sig all along could explain why it popped into my head 

I'm okay with Cyonan's version of bsn, I'm already registered there (but I'll prob do the same on fextra and on real-da-fans, since both look promising), lots of nice guys there already. 

As for the spot, since we mostly keep on topic of DA, maybe in General Discussion in one of the DA sub forums? Although with Cullen in the name we may still fit in the characters sub forum?
