Delurking because I have a few things to say.
First celebrating something closing because you hate it is really a hardhearted thing to do. As bad as this forum has gotten...people are hurting and they deserve to be respected.
But I do agree there are some horribly toxic people here. Its one of the reasons I stopped posting.
A great majority of this forum was taken hostage not only by racist, misogynistic, homophobic trolls but by people with entitlement issues that think BioWare owes them.
So let me just say this…..
Do you want to know how many people stopped posting at this board? Do you want to know how many people felt intimidated by you? Do you want to know how many people were put off by your constant miserable attitude?
Do you consider it acceptable for the developers to receive threats and harassment??
You hate the game…we freaking get it. But you had no right to make others feel miserable for enjoying the game. That’s called being selfish.
And if people do not share a fraction of your world view…you label them a troll.
You say you care about equality, fighting oppression, etc? Aside from sitting behind a computer and passively aggressively be condescending to others have you ever done anything in real life to help change the world?
Have you ever knocked on doors to get petitions signed? Have you ever volunteered at a phone bank? Have you ever volunteered for anything? Have you ever been arrested at a protest?
I’ve experienced all of that. I also spoke out at my local city council meeting and was part of a group that helped get an extremely bigoted and transphobic councilman removed from office.

I still remember when DAI came out and you said Cullen should not have been available for anybody since you could not have him your way. PLEASE tell me... How is that not considered selfish?

Just thought you should know how many people were put off by your attitude as well felt uncomfortable by the cliquish nature of this thread.
Considering that activists rarely hit the mark on what a bigot actually is, I find this attitude of gathering people to pressure a company into firing someone completely disgusting.
That is what raging radicals do.
And for the record, if you took off your clothes in public or damaged anyone's property then those police officers were justified in arresting you.
The entire mess was confusing me so I'm going to try not to think about it but may have to do so someday.
