I would be relieved in a sort of sense. Not sure why. Maybe because all we've ever seen him as is an NPC, and I'm afraid they will mess him up...

I, personally, value party banter. IDK why, but it just fleshes out the character more and allows for us to comprehend the complexity their character that much more seeing them interact with others. I'd love to especially see him interact with Varric and Vivienne!

At this point I feel that I have the main things I wanted: Cullen is definitely in the game with an important role, our Inquisitor gets to interact with him on a deeper level than our PCs have in the past, and he's romanceable.

 

It would be an added piece of good news for me if he's a companion too, but I won't feel disappointed if he's not because we got so much else.

Plus, as an NPC romance, it would kind of feel as though he were added in just to shut the fanbase up. Not saying that is what they would be after, but it would certainly come across that way to me.

Like, my preference is, if they were to have him as an NPC romance....I'd rather not have a romance with him at all 'cause it would seem kind of forced. Like, that they threw it in last minute just to say that they put it in.

Poor old Beardy only has 27 pages in total.  This should definitely count for something, we love Cullen so much more than they love Beardy - kick him to the Non Follower spot instead!!!!!
