That is a laudable feat, but I'm sorry, dear... Kirrahe is right. It gets worse. Especially because you're pre-med, lol!
The only thing I really consider hard is math. I'm going to be done with that exactly a week from today. WOOP WOOP

I can't play either pro-mage or pro-templar Hawkes.. my Hawke's are always "walk in the Golden mean" (no idea if I can say it like that in English XD). I mean that my Hawke's always chose accordingly of the situation. If the mages were bad they died or were captured. If they just wanted out of circle I helped them. Well that depends on my Hawke though, my evil Hawkes just do what they think is easiest for them or are aggressive about everything no matter if it's towards mages or templars XD

Wow. Just got back from the hospital and this saw thread has jumped 70+ pages from when I last saw it. I usually don't post much, but I have to de-lurk and say that I love this thread and the people posting in it. I have laughed so much that I am afraid of ripping my stitches. Re-enter lurkmode
That is brutal. It's a wonder you're not out for the count all the time. Gotta hand it to you....it's impressive.
My weekends:
So, wait. What if, for DA:I, instead of jars of bees that are thrown, we lure our enemies in for afternoon tea and unleash bees? @user

Heard about the Cullen romance option this morning and am chiming in to Squee!
Thanks for posting the video. Can't wait for the release this fall.
I also love the way they designed an open Thedas... I've played Skyrim, which is beautiful, but Bioware has ruined me for all other video games with their character relationships. Companion friendships and romances add depth and breadth to gaming that is unsurpassed, imho.
Welcome! And I agree about the relationships in the Dragon Age series. It's what keeps me here, really. ![]()

I love Skyrim too!I like roaming around doing miscellaneous quests and I'd say that some aspects of the Elder scrolls lore are very interesting...Although as you said after playing a Bioware game, dragon age in particular with so many interesting, full fledged characters, yeah it say it kind of feels empty after a while.

I shall try not to, although another hospital visit wouldn't faze me.
I'm doing a pro-templar run now! I can't wait for The Last Straw
We'll see how tough I can be LOL I plan to not kill Anders (still can't do it) but tell him to scram. Then side with the templars. And I'll finally get to see the Cullen scene, yay!!!
It was that particular scene, that really made me hate my character!
(Yes, it really does!!!
)
Yay!! Lately I've been wondering if I've got some kind of mental disability or something because I seem to injure and insult people left and right but have no idea what it is I said that set people off! lol
So I got a question ... Do people think that siding with the Templars in DA2 is the "evil" way and siding with the Mages is the "good/right" way?
It really reads like it sometimes, makes me feel weird for enjoying to see all the possible outcomes and therefore joining the Templars here and there. I don't see my Pro-Templar Hawkes as evil, just having different viewpoints I guess. I do have lines that I don't cross, I never have given Fenris back or Isabela, never let my siblings get killed (except for dying in the deeproads) etc. but I have sided with Petrice, have rivaled every companion and probably have fought almost all companion at the end by now (except Varric, seeing as he sides with you by default I think and Aveline might be bugged for me or she also doesn't fight you, idk)
I really hope that in DA:I we see some more evil Mages, because DA:2 did not do a good job at showing us both of the evil sides, it pretty much just managed to show "Mages good/Templars evil .. rawr"

meh. don't worry abt it. and we are communicating thru text only, which gimps us a bit.
He'll be seeing Andraste by the time I'm done with him.

OMG LOL! LOVE.
Mr. Weekes is one of my favourites. ![]()
I couldn't do that either. I tried it for science and I felt soooo terrible, I immediately reloaded and undid it. Since Fenris and I were rivaled at the time, I recall him being a little surprised Hawke fought for him. Lol! Or was that my head canon talking? At any rate, it made me like the broody elf just a little bit.Although,no matter how evil I roleplayed my chracter to be, I still couldn't do a couple of things like giving Fenris back to Danarius. This is always a No!

To me it seems like most people think siding with mages is kinda mandatory in DA2. But I prefer siding with templars and I don't see it as evil. I think there is two bad choices in the end of DA2, not good and bad one.
I don't have pro-templar Hawkes though, my Hawkes justify themselves with wanting to what is best for city and protect people here. Personally I prefer templar ending cause Orsino makes me feel like I fail doing any good when I side with mages ^^; After all that hardwork he just kills them all for no reasonable reason. Sometimes I hate him so much XD

I know for my part it seems you have very strong likes and dislikes and what is meant gets lost in the excitement of participating in the conversation.
Ummmm I don't mind really, but maybe if you wanna break down my personality we could do it via PM and not so publicly??

Usually I think I'm eagerly engaging in a spirited discussion or debate, while the other person things they're engaged in a verbal fight to the death. I've almost left the BSN completely... okay I was interrupted by my colleagues for a bit, and I almost started crying lol I'm feeling really overwhelmed lately, partly from here and partly from work, where it seems like nothing you do is good enough for the administration. Luckily my co-worker made me feel better
But I'm still feeling a bit teary-eyed.
Someone give me a Cullen!!!! ![]()

I don't think that's what the game is trying to imply, nor do I actually believe that pro-templar is evil and pro-mage is good, but it's more about how the pro-templar ending made me feel. Personally, I felt wretched being pro-templar, but I understood why my Hawkes felt the way they did. (My headcanon is that Bethany accidentally hurt non-mage Hawke with magic when they were younger, and that's helped shape the varying ways Hawke responds to mages, from "they need freedom" to "they're monsters". Mage Hawke probably picked up on their father's resentment of his own magics, and that helped shaped them.) I love playing different runs, though, and I want to have a wide variety to pasts for DAI and future games. So I play things that make me uncomfortable. The Keep is going to be a great tool for helping with that, but I'm also a Trophy Hound, so, gotta do some of the dirty work myself.

LIKE!! I always read it that way, too. He says it so coolly at that point, you can just see the ice forming on his word bubble. Very different from his more heated defense of Meredith in Act 1.
I like to think that scene is wrought with all sorts of unsettling surprises for Cullen. Traitor templars. Two faced former templars. Rebelling mages. Blood mages. Hero of Kirkwall standing in the middle of it all, holding the bag. Poor dear.
I've always thought that both are wrong, but the comfy middle is where we get to be 'good.' It's the extremes of either side that I see to be 'evil' like the mage-slaughter Templars or the blood Mages.

Frankly I wasn't overly keen on either side. I wish there had been a 'you are all nuts and I'm taking you all down' sort of option, but sparing the sane and reasonable parties. My Hawkes end up siding with the mages mainly because of Meredith and to avoid the RoA. I found it annoying that choosing different sides in different encounters usually meant you ended up with lukewarm approval with your companions.
