Well all we know for sure is he's a LI but I'm pretty sure DG has said a few times that romances will be no more or less important than they were in DAO or DA2. It might be a stretch but those comments don't incline me to believe they've dramatically upped the quantity of LIs for DAI and so we're probably looking at 4 romances characters in total 2 male, 2 female either player sexual or of set orientation.

In those circumstances are they going to make one of those characters a non companion? I don't know the answer and they may very well intend on doing just that but it doesn't seem as good a fit as ME2 or ME3 which had a much larger selection of romance characters in addition to the non followers. I'm just puzzling aloud because in truth, I'm totally stumped about who's in or out of the party at this stage.

Just wanted to say something about Cullen's awkwardness. I believe that after everything he's been through, he's simply outgrown that blushing-when-women-are-involved thing. I mean, he really should be older now, and they said in the video above that all characters are leaders, so I expect Cullen to be more mature, confident, and badass.

Gaaah I don't want to get my hopes up. I am content with NPC Cullen. I'd be ecstatic about a companion Cullen.

I agree,I don't think that there'll be excessive stuttering and blushing,but I don't expect him to completely overcome his awkwardness,I'll be slightly disappointed if he did!

Think he will have had to so he's as neutral as possible. But I think that's TERRIBLY out of character for him. There are still Seekers and Templars loyal to the Chantry, and I think he'd go with them. The guy really, firmly believes in what the Order stands for, so from a character perspective, I don't think he'd leave it.

That is... hard to answer. Perhaps he got kicked out after the Meredith debacle, because I couldn't see him leaving on his own. I don't know.

He could be advising from the templars perspective, most likely the ones still loyal the the Chantry.

You're right, he might have remained loyal to the Chantry. I was still thinkig in the case he's a companion (in this case I don't think he remained with the Chantry).

I'd love to see Sera too! (Hopefully with better hair) But I do think Solas and Cullen are more likely suspects.

huh.

i don't think so. well, i hope not. he said on many ocasions he believes in the order and the code of conduct. i see no reason why one madman/woman should make him leave the templars.
