Scared the absolute poo out of me when I first fought it.
Now I just walk up to those vanilla (non-Dark Arisen) drakes and stab 'em dead in five seconds
"The Arisen sends his regards, beotch!"

Hm, I hope for these LIs:
Cullen - bi
Varric - straight
DHMG - gay
Scribe Girl - bi
Cassandra - straight
Sera - gay
And I'm really not sure that both DHMG and Solas will be LIs. They're both male mages. We always got an elf, but that's because we always only got humans and elves as LIs. But they have options for a Qunari or dwarf LI, so I don't know. However it still seems to be the most likely scenario.
Didn't they say there will be less romance exclusive content and more content for the normal friendship? Am I remembering that wrong? I'm not sure anymore what they really said and what was only speculation.
Well, no matter what, we got Cullen! Hopefully for female and male Inquisitors, so that everyone will be happy
uh, well, actually we have no idea if we are gonna have a qunari or dwarf LI.
In fact, there are quite a few things we simply don't know, and are assuming. Although, I, too, hope Cullen is bi.
Just because he only showed interest in a female mage in DAO doesn't preclude him from being bi. He never said he wasn't attracted to men, all we know is that he's at least attracted to women. So, you never know.
I had to go with my first drake encounter in Dragon's Dogma: at night and without a lantern
my god!

He was attracted to my male mage... when I briefly modded my Warden's head onto a female body. Cullen's into freaky stuff like that!
my god!
I don't normally use the word "epic" as an adventure, but that about covers that encounter, lol!
I'm wondering if romanceable NPCs will be the straight options simply because they most likely have less resources allotted to them, inevitably. So my guess of a 2/2/2 lineup would be:
Males:
Straight - Cullen
Gay - DHMG
Bi - Solas/Varric (Varric is a long shot, but still more likely than IB, I think)
Females:
Straight - SG
Gay - Sera
Bi - Cassandra

That said, I also wonder if it won't be an even breakdown and instead some restrictions are based on race or class rather than gender. Or an even sexual orientation breakdown AND race and/or classwho knows?
I was actually thinking it's a distinct possibility Cullen won't romance Dwarves/Qunari. We know Cullen is a devout Andrastian and he seems pretty adamant in his belief that they are heathens. If it's possible... from a story viewpoint, it should probably be a LOT harder to romance him as a Qunari or Dwarf than it should be as a Human.

It should be harder but not impossible... true love conquers all ![]()

Doubt they're gonna be locking romances like that. Dwarves, definitely not, and Qunari...a slight more difficulty.
I don't think they've any reason to make Cullen straight. His crush on female Amell doesn't mean he's not bi.
My guess is:
Cullen- bi
IB- straight
DHMG- gay
Feathers- unromanceable?
Varric- unromanceable ![]()
Cole- unromanceable ![]()
Viv- unromanceable ![]()
Cass- bi
Sera- straight
Scribbles- gay
I can imagine that romancing Cullen with somebody who's very anti-andrastian or is into one of the other religions will be very difficult, but a dwarf or vashoth who's open to his religion or who doesn't have strong opinions about it would probably be fine, I think.
If other religions are a problem then I guess a romance for the elf wouldn't be an option either as the elf inquisitor will be Dalish.

Switch Cullen and IB, and I'd be down with that lol

Oh, I just realized that I worded that wrong. What I meant was that they have the option to make a qunari or dwarf LI, because we have both in the party, and that could replace the elf LI we always got (hopefully I worded it right this time). Yes, this are all just assumptions, we don't know anything for sure yet, except that Cassandra and Cullen are definitely LIs for somebody ![]()
Yeah I'm not sure why people are thinking he's going to be coded straight. He's probably the only male NPC romance. Now, there is precedence with Sebastian, but that didn't even feel like a real romance. I have no earthly idea why he was arbitrarily made straight (and there was no DLC straight female option).
I haven't made a prediction yet, but it just seems like Cullen should be bi. I want it to be so for you, anyway, and everyone that wants it as badly as you do. And about the Sebastian romance...just having Greg Ellis tease us from the booth has been a better romance than Sebastian. There. I said it. ![]()

I think that what gives Cullen an extra shot as being the bisexual romance is the fact that he's (probably) a non-companion. The general tone around the forum is that NPC romances are bad, and I think more people would kick up a fuss if, say, straight female Inquisitors had 2 NPC romances and 1 Companion romance, or if straight Inquisitors only had 1 Companion romance, while gay Inquisitors had 2 Companion romances.
Doubt they're gonna be locking romances like that. Dwarves, definitely not, and Qunari...a slight more difficulty.
Someone asked one of the Devs if romances would be race restricted and they didn't deny it. Just said "more info on this later" or something. We've never really had a LI who was as devout as Cullen, other than Sebastian? Alistair wasn't religious, so you could romance him as a Dwarf. Leliana had "unconventional" beliefs. I feel like Cullen would probably want his wife to be a fellow Andrastian, no? Maybe if you're a Dwarf or Qunari you have to convert first? ![]()

Anything is better than a Sebastian romance. Chaste Marriage? I mean come on.
I wonder how BW's approach to our alliances may (or may not) affect our companions? You know how they said that the Inquisitor won't be able to ally w/everyone. Like if you support Orlais, it would affect relations w/the Dalish, and so on.

I would like to see Cullen give us a really big, heartfelt, genuine smile. I hope that we can make Cullen laugh in DA:I.
Yes! I'm sorta sad that GE didn't answer my question about hearing Cullen laugh. It just seems like that would be a non-spoilery thing to answer. This is what gives me hope that we may see more Q&A from him yet! (*sssshhhhhhhhush*you let me dream on!)

No rest for the wicked, dear.

I would imagine they'd do that to some degree, but i really doubt they'd lock out romances based on that.
Mostly because of the line "Whatever we were before, we are now the inquisition"
I think most of the Inquisition will have "left" their former life, atleast to some degree.
But i don't know. And none of us will know before we're told
Edit: Or before we play the game.

I think Jess was there to possibly do something for a BioWare Base vid. Would make sense, cause she doesn't normally do stuff like that.

You and me both. I have not yet given up on that either. I am a patient woman. ![]()
