Guys I need serious answers lol I need to know what to call this kind of... shirt... oh it's a gown?? Really? Like a dressing gown? I thought it was formal wear.

I've studied medieval costuming. There are a lot of different words to describe clothing.

 

If a 15th century man was describing the garment pictured above and it was knee-length, he would call it a coat (which is the root of the word "cotehardie".)

 

If a 15th century man was describing the garment pictured above and it was floor-length, he would call it a gown (they didn't really fuss about gender-based names for clothes).

 

If a modern costumer were describing it, it would be a cotehardie if it had a fitted torso or a houpelande if it had wide sleeves. If it had both, well, the words aren't mutually exclusive.

Makes me think of a painter, though...? Hmm. I like cotehardie, but will readers know what that is? I might have to go with tunic. So generic, but, oh well.

 

I'd say tunic is your best bet. I'm pretty sure that's how GRRM refers to Lord Baelish's clothing and he wears the same thing.

I don't think Iron Bull is as big as we believe, i see him as being at least 1 foot/30 centimeters taller than a human male.
Although I agree a dwarf should not be able to romance a qunari, but I can see a elf and human do it though.

Hrm, after doing more staring at the war room pic, yeah, I could see it.  I think it's his bulk size that's throwing me off.  Though, I'm imagining IB's equipment to be rather, huge.

I'm fairly convinced at this point that 2/2/2 is a thing. Every character will have a set sexuality, and Cullen (straight) and DHMG (gay) will be the male human love interests.
If 2/2/2 isn't happening, I'm not sure what to expect. Cullen could be an extra 5th romance like Sebastian, and the only NPC one.

But my femquizzy wants to tap that DHMG ***! *stomps foot*

Sigh. Why can't they all just be bi?

Cotehardie is the word you're looking for! (wanted to be a costume designer in high school, medieval was my fave)

I'm out of likes, but thanks everyone for your suggestions This one seems like a nice idea. Of course I'm aiming for authenticity, but I also want it to be obvious to the reader, so... food for thought 

I'm going home now, so no more writing till tomorrow. Everyone be good and don't advance more than a couple pages so we don't hit 1000 for a few more days

So I'm backtracking here, but as far as orientations go, my guess is Solas for bi. Mainly because he's the only male elf, and I know there are many, many fans who want to romance elves. So if it's 2/2/2 my guess for the boys is Solas bi, Cullen straight, DHMG gay (wah!).  I wish everyone was available for everyone - and I do mean every party member. They're all hot to me.

 

But I suspect the romances may be more complicated than that - I'm hoping for race/class restrictions. Which is why I'm going rogue for the first playthrough. Female human rogue for my Cullen romance.

Only advice I can give to you is, when your PC next blue screens, press F8, and don't restart. That should give you an option to view the error log indicating what the problem could be. Unfortunataly blue screening can be anything from your PSU, memory, video card, software etc. Iff you have your OS disc, you could also try doing a repair of your system via that. Good luck with it, I know how frustrating it can be trying to pinpoint a PC problem.

I agree. Both with your Possible-Male-LI-Breakdown and the fact that I WANT THEM ALL. so many PT opportunities that way, dammit!

Race/class restrictions... I'm torn on. Part of me really wants some for the complexity they can add. But I'd also prefer a higher degree of complexity to complete a romance if you are a certain race or class as opposed to an outright restriction!

EDIT: crap, I forgot about Cole. NOT COLE. I want all the male characters... Except Cole.
