Basically if you ever read back through his tweets he's always making crude comments about women. Tweeting about a fat woman who served him coffee or a woman with BO. It's really insulting. He is really insulting. And I'm sure he just feeds off fangirls. You'd never catch GE doing that. Howden has completely ruined Anders for me.

Work was hard today, and as I was putting TV accessories together (the next time you get a new TV and see a remote stuffed in a bag, think of me) I suddenly remembered the fact that Greg Ellis sang in a VO session and we may get a singing Cullen.

 

That plastered a smile on my face and made the day a bit easier. XD

I was blunt with Alistair and told him what the deal was. I just... I couldn't stop laughing. 

Lol! Yes! My Cousie approached it as a fully-informed joint decision, so she told him everything. I love watching him grow increasingly unhinged. Then when Morrigan is approaching with that sultry saunter... I always imagine Alistair thinking "is she... trying to be... *sexy*??"

He didn't dump my Mage Warden at all, I just kept him as a Grey Warden since he said he didn't want to be King.

I made him king 8/10 times because... well, I have this horrible affliction where I feel like you HAVE to do what's right for the greater good and all that jazz. I hated Anora and Logain (sorry to those who disagree  ) and didn't feel they'd be best for the throne. I think it's because I'm an oldest child and sometimes you gotta take one for the team even when it sucks. lol

Alistair: I was thinking 40

 

Warden: -40 minutes and we'll drop by your room later

Warden: Well it's not like we're in a hurry, you just said tonight right? No reason this can't be fun

 

Morrigan: Wait. You do realize that I need to be the one to lay with Alistair in order for this to work don't you?

I agree: I totally made him King more times than not, and generally King with Queen Anora. My canon has this scenario, with an alive Loghain because I find him fascinating.

There's a mod that helps change the tone of that decision if you are playing a warden who romanced Alistair. The scene IMO is much better and easier to deal with because of it (no Morrigan crawling onto Alistair yuck) . I really don't think they had the female player in mind when they came up with the DR , the least they could have done was alter the scene (like the mod) to perhaps spare our feelings a bit

 

Bah, try having a gay Warden who's in a serious relationship with Zevran... he agrees reluctantly to do the DR; cut to a scene of him lying in his undies on the bed smiling like an excited lech as half-naked Morrigan (whom he hates and has low friendship with) crawls seductively towards him.

 

Pretty much ruined the whole ending for me and just left this feeling of bile in my mouth.

 I came to the DA fandom because of Anders. I loved the way the character was written, and his character arc left me with questions that I couldn't leave alone. I wrote my first fanfiction (Well, since I played Everquest 1, back in the early 2000's.), about what I thought could happen after Kirkwall (Of course I let him live. Hawke needed someone to run off with! ), and while I missed Greg Ellis's Anders in DA2, I thought Howden did alright (Damn great in some parts, mediocre in others), I only followed him on twitter for a few days, literally. His hatred and condescension of women is something I find disgusting in the extreme, and while it didn't ruin Anders for me (the writing was too good, I think.),  it certainly made me wary of V/O fandoms. 

 

Greg Ellis and Gideon Emery, though, seem to be shining beacons.

I came to the DA fandom because of Anders. I loved the way the character was written, and his character arc left me with questions that I couldn't leave alone. I like to think this may be why it seems Anders isn't making a return in DAI.

I have thought this myself, but I also like the idea of giving Anders (If you let him live, of course) just a few lines-voiced by Greg Ellis. Full circle and all. Would be a lovely surprise.
