Inquisitor in front-- he has the same collar and shoulder armour as the Inquisitors in other concept art, actually. Also because front of the party shenanigans.

Then you have Vivienne, Solas, and I assume Beardy Grey Warden.

Agreed.

I played the whole trilogy and I was still irritated with Kaidan and Ash. I definitely understood where they were coming from, but during that argument they were putting a lot of words in Shepard's mouth that she/he didn't say. So the argument/them being pissed wasn't what irked me but instead how it seemed like it was written in... almost a childish kind of way? Not that people can't be childish and botch arguments, mind, but still.

What DID irritate me was how Kaidan/Fem!Shep and Dude!Shep/Ash was handled if you didn't wait for them and found someone else in ME2. Now that sh!t made me want to toss people out airlocks. .

And again, Agreed . Though my canon Shep didn't romance anyone in ME and went for Miranda in ME2/3.

As for the Dark Ritual discussion you guys had before, I might remember it wrong, and possibly I missed the smile a one point , but I recall that the Warden/Alistair seemed uneasy at the start of the scene. When did they smile exactly? When Morrigan was on the bed?

I just hit escape at that scene. I don't have to watch anything awkward, then. Especially when it's poor Loghain.

I would say that having sex with a beatiful woman isn't the worst thing you can do to atone for what he did .
But I generally skip that scene as well. It wasn't well done regardless of the character involved, in my opinion .

True.

It was done rather awkward, though. And I always feel sorry for Loghain in that scene after he mentions his departed wife. O-ouchies.

Ah, the most awkward part about the Dark Ritual was that the female Warden could see it at all. It was like she was standing there, holding the candle, and making encouraging comments. Hm, my canon warden would totally do that, but alas, she refused the rutual.

And to get back on topic - since we are talking about the Romance With Cullen

Page 1000 Update

******************

Sooo..... Page 770! Page 1000 is fast approaching. How are folks doing on their celebration items? I've heard suggestions of another theme for the celebration in Cullen singing, so those still looking for inspiration could look to that.

Something to consider is that when page 1000 gets here we'll have to *seriously* slow down the posts so that we can actually reserve all twenty of Page 1000's posts for celebration items. Given the furious pace here, I'm uncertain how easy that will be, esp since you sometimes don't know what page you're on until you refresh. Thoughts?

Yeah, as I said, that scene was done badly regardless of the character involved.

I actually ended up writing something.  I started way before the singing thing, so I was going for raunchy. I think I only managed implied raunch.  It's def mature, tho.  Probably rubbish, too.  This will be the first thing I've written for public consumption, so I'm kinda nervous.  Make that really nervous.

Anyway, as we get closer to 1000 I'm going to pay closer attention to the page numbers and to refresh more frequently.

I have idea started but I haven't done much edits yet so I have to still work on it. I'll just make small edit anyways ^^; I think it'll be completed before celebration :)

My thought is for all of us to agree... if you happen to post something random on Pg. 1000, be prepared to edit it. Give it up for someone else's artwork or better yet, post your own! If we run out of places then perhaps others can piggyback on another's post.

Teamwork! Yay!

I came to the DA fandom because of Anders. I loved the way the character was written, and his character arc left me with questions that I couldn't leave alone. I wrote my first fanfiction (Well, since I played Everquest 1, back in the early 2000's.), about what I thought could happen after Kirkwall (Of course I let him live. Hawke needed someone to run off with! :) ), and while I missed Greg Ellis's Anders in DA2, I thought Howden did alright (Damn great in some parts, mediocre in others), I only followed him on twitter for a few days, literally. His hatred and condescension of women is something I find disgusting in the extreme, and while it didn't ruin Anders for me (the writing was too good, I think.),  it certainly made me wary of V/O fandoms.

Greg Ellis and Gideon Emery, though, seem to be shining beacons. :D

^THIS^  Adam could never ruin Anders for me because Anders is not his creation.  I do follow him on twitter in hopes he'll say something about DA:I, and because he does post some cute cat stuff every once in a while.  But mostly, I try to separate the actors from the characters for just this reason.

Of course, when someone like Greg comes along, it becomes impossible.  He has already given us an incredible Cullen-related experience, and we haven't even gotten a decent look at the character in-game yet.   No matter how many games I play in the future or how many pixels I fall in love with in the years to come, I know I'll never forget this...this character and his VA, this game, this thread...it will always be "special."  <3

I've been thinking more about the "each advisor is a core class" theory, and it's making more and more sense to me.

My theory on romance options:
Spoiler

BioWare wants to give players options for romance; they are less concerned about romances being considered "equal" (especially, I suspect, in terms of playable vs non-playable characters)
If my thoughts on the romanceable characters holds water, every sexual orientation will have the option of an elf, AND a mage, IF Scribbles is one! Personally, I'm not sure "mage" is as important an option as "elf" when it comes to romances, but even though the Mage/Templar debate is no longer at the forefront of the plot, having the option to date a mage could still be valuable.

I would agree with you...only, shouldn't the GW have a sword?  That is the mystery for me.  That guy in the back could be a warrior, but at the same time, he might NOT be, because the only blade I see is coming from his gauntlet.  That is what throws it off and raises questions.  Because considering that, the guy in the back MIGHT be a rogue Inquisitor, and then the question becomes who the hell is up there in the front, with his bulky collar and big sword?  It's...intriguing is all.

I would think they would make the NPC romances Bi to make up for them not being able to go out and adventure with us.

Scribble will likely be the head of the Inquisition's political pillar. I don't think she'll be a mage.

Maybe the key would be doing our planning for this off-forum, where the place will be slower and it would be waaaaaaay easier for people to catch up...you know, since not everyone is gonna want to participate, and it'll be done for a single topic. Just an idea. :)

It would also maybe give us a repository in case someone would like for someone else to post their stuff up for them, if they are at work or school when that small window opens.

I'm working on a fic, personally. :D

Problem is, we already have a mage with a similar personality and abilities: Vivienne. I doubt we'd get another.

True, well if she has any battle training at all it's prob with daggers, she seems the type that looks helpless but when you turn your back she'll stab you in the throat or back, which ever she prefers. :P

I doubt I'll be ready, unless I suddenly acquire magical fingers and can sew in my sleep. I'll post mine later, when it's finally done, and just enjoy everyone else's contributions.
