I'll prolly roll a mage my first PT, but I need to get into the game; get a feel for whatever these backgrounds are and see how I feel. Or I'll play rogue first.....arrrgh! Idk!

Woo, finally finished Since a couple others have given anticipatory snippets, I'll offer up a few. This is part 2 to that first thing I wrote for page 4000.

 

Snippet 1

“I… debated, before coming here, whether I should apologize. That is, apologize for what happened after our dance. In the end, I was too… embarrassed to bring it up. I thought you were offended when you failed to mention it in your letter. I didn’t know what to do; I prayed—”

 

“You prayed?” I interrupted.

 

He smiled. “Yes. Do the Dalish not pray?”

 

“We do. Many times, before a hunt.”

 

His lips pressed together a little more, a faint dimple forming in one cheek.

 

“And did you pray tonight?” he asked, his voice a bit husky.

 

I swallowed—my mouth had gone suddenly dry.

Unable to resist, I pressed up, rubbing gently against him, causing us both to moan against one another’s lips.

 

“Andraste teaches us to be patient,” he murmured. The unexpected playfulness in his voice made me laugh.

 

“Do you often preach during lovemaking?” I teased.

 

He looked briefly embarrassed, which wasn’t quite the response I was aiming for, but it amused me nonetheless.

 

“You wanted a religious lesson,” he said, his hand now sliding down to the front of my trousers. “I’m giving it to you.”

 

I'm not happy about "trousers"; if anyone has a better word, let me know. "Pants" seemed too modern.

 

Okay, I'm no longer on the side of those who want to delay things. Page 1000, hurry up!!

That's where I kind of am...? Nothing is more fun than playing an archer rogue for me, and I mean, an elf!! How can I play an elf and not be an archer first. But if it seems like being a mage will be reeeeally important, how can I resist not doing THAT first?

And depending on my class, I'm not gonna be spending alot of actual traveling time w/a few companions anyway. I usually like a balanced party. Mage; Rogue Tank..another range possibly archer or another mage. I rarely take more than one mage w/me when I'm playing mage. And same for rogue.

Because I made need to make sum choices sometimes that are not entirely popular. I don't want the threat of my companions storming off if they don't agree w/everything I do.
 
Although, that may still happen w/the big choices. But it gives me some wiggle room.

  

I think she means because now we can do small things our LIs don't approve of (like freeing apostates and not telling Fenris)

Understood. Though in regardless of companions storming off, I'd say if there'll be such, they'd be related to big choices anyway.

Yeah, like killing Connor or Isolde.

 

But still, even the little decisions in DA2 could keep your relationship with a character squarely down the middle... which did not end well sometimes.

This is the quandry. And I know I can simply replay, bt that first PT....where I screw everything up...is magic.

 

It gives me hope, however, that replays will still be fresh, or have a freshness to them, cuz of the way the game opens/closes off content based on your choices. So, even after the first PT, there may be alot of meaty content that I haven't seen yet.

Oh, that just made me think. What if your Hawke had told Cullen abt Anders, and all that. They never came after him, for whatever reasons.

 

Then one day a bunch of Templar recruits come running into the Templar barracks shouting that that Grey Warden Healer Mage just blew up the Chantry and killed the Grand Cleric!!

 

I imagine Cullen abt to take a bite out of a sandwich, and just freezing. "Oh, shyte..." O.O!

 

Wasn't Cullen in Kirkwall during act III? He couldn't have been so far that he didn't see/feel the explosion. He must have known what happened considering all hell broke loose right after the big boom.

No, no it didn't. Even on friendship paths.

If you're pro-templar, woudn't you be able to reach full rivarly with them? You'd be able to avoid killing them, even Anders (who would likely kill himself if you supported the templars though).

I think it was my first PT where Fenris trotted up to me and was like, "imma take you down." I was like...whaaa.....? Then I let him hit me w/that big azz sword I bought for him. With those kick azz skills I specced for him until I couldn't anymore...and had to let loose on him.

 

But I was shocked that there was no quick lil cutscene to pay my respects, or something! I was running around the gallows part looking for his body. Lol! I was like where did I kill him at? Cuz I thought I had to find his body to trigger the cutscene.

 

I never found the body...

If you're pro-templar, woudn't you be able to reach full rivarly with them? You'd be able to avoid killing them, even Anders (who would likely kill himself if you supported the templars though).

Hmm you may be right. I'm not sure where I am with Merrill right now. Well, this is an aggressive Hawke, but he's not always aggressive during personal conversations. He may have been with Anders though... he doesn't like Anders much. So actually full rivalry with Anders might actually happen.

 

Darn, shoud've resisted Fenris (impossible) and tried the Anders rivalmance for once!

I think that with a bit of time they'd have made those cutscenes, but sadly, Act 3 suffered most the short dev cycle.

This is what I hear. lol! I've never taken the option, but it sure made me tense the first time showed up on the dialogue wheel.   And I'm pretty sure Anders was actually with me!
