Wow, thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. :D

I've been trying to get my best friend to play--even went so far as to buy her a copy of DAO. She swears she'll do it one of these days, but hasn't yet. I'm hoping all the cool DAI stuff that's been coming out will lately convince her to finally start a playthrough; the newest trailer really piqued her interest.

I actually got one of my friends to play and  she pretty much loves the series. We are quite similar and love same games so it wasn't hard to get her into DAI XD We don't always like same characters though, for example I love Merrill and she dislikes her. She is really pumped up about Cole in DAI but she likes Cullen as well though I wouldn't say she's fan.

Nod. I totally get that. Aithine and I tend to be very like-minded, so it will be interesting to see where her choices differ from mine, and which characters she loves or hates.

Oh, lord. That means I have to figure out how to post an image, doesn't it, lol! Okay, lemme see if this works....

Note: I've since added proper facial hair. Also, the armor isn't quite right, though the gal who made it did her best, given the meshes we had to work with.

Wow, you did a great job there!  Cullen makes a handsome Sim.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun making him. I love sculpting faces in Body Shop. I have fun with character creation in DA as well, though it's nowhere near as detailed as TS2.

Hehe, then we should do another 4000 celebration or something :)

Yes, I kind of liked him as a templar  Except I think he stopped dating Merrill :( (noooooo!)

But he was still around, and Leandra was visiting him from time to time. I only worry that it looks like he took his vows too fast, and that means lyrium, and now I hope he's not with the Reds.

Carver always struck me as better with the Wardens.

So I guess whichever route we choose, he may be a bad guy.

I miss sims 2, sims 3 is awful for creating characters. Spend hours on a sim only to have them look exactly the same as when you start out, all with double chins and protruding lips, Ugly.

I nonetheless created a Cullen and a witch Amell....married them off they were so in love, then I made a fairy who became best friends with Cullen. She witnessed Amell( the tart) flirting with someone so she went and flirted with Cullen and he invited her to move in with them.....He is not as innocent as we think!

Hi, y'all! I'm a long time lurker who finally worked up the nerve to post in the forums for the very first time a few days ago. Figured I should come over here and say hello, as well since I've been reading this thread off and on for, um, quite a while, if I'm honest, lol!  I'm just kind of shy, you know? Plus, this thread has such a high volume of traffic, it makes it a little difficult for me to keep up.

But! Cullen fans! I found the other Cullen fans! Yay! That makes me ridiculously happy. None of my RL friends play Dragon Age, and while they've become used to my nattering about the game, it's really not the same. Well, okay.  One of those friends is also a GE fan, so she at least understood why I was making flail-y hands at the news he would be singing in the game. But still!

It's just nice to be able to squee with like-minded souls, you know? And there has been a lot to squee about lately. :D

Um. Yeah. Don't really know what else to say.  Did I mention the shy part? I also have kind of craptastic health (and by kind of, I mean seriously)  so I probably won't be posting a whole lot. But y'all have made me smile and laugh on days when I didn't have a lot to smile and laugh about, and I just wanted to thank you properly for it. I'd thank GE, too, if I had a Twitter account. Dragon Age has helped get me through some really rough patches, and that ... well, it means a lot to me, dorky as that may sound.

Hey, welcome! You can make a twitter account, and write to GE, he reads and faves our tweets all the time! :)

Wait, what? I've never made Carver a Templar before. If you make him a Templar he dates Merrill?! Whoa.

Well, they really like each other, and Carver always says something nice to her, and they are so cute together, like a couple of kittens

First time I played DAII I accidentally made Carver a Grey Warden, and then I was really sad about it, because I thought I ruined his love with Merrill, because Carver was always away, and they couldn't keep seeing each other. So next time I went for full rivalry, and left him at home, and he joined the Templars. But when I took him along on the DLC missions, they never exchanged a word with Merrill :( I don't know if it's a glitch, or maybe Carver took his vows too seriously (the guy who makes the Chant sound dirty, really?), but it's the only thing I regret about him becoming a templar. I prefer him as a templar for a lot of reasons, and the most important of them is that it's the choice he makes himself, while when he becomes a warden - it's the choice between life and death, and therefore not really a choice.

Anyway, Carver and Merrill are still my DAII OTP, and I ship templar Carver and Merrill regardless of what the game does  :P And always will!

They have officially upped the number of posts per page to 25, cutting about 150 of our pages....guess that's more time to work on my fic!

Putting our new p. 1000 ETA at about 10 days from now... long enough that leaving my contribution sitting on my desktop will drive me nuts, but not long enough (at least during finals) to make a new one! Blarg. At least now we have room for more of us on the page.

Huh. VEERRRY interesting. And honestly, strange timing, no? I mean, can you really imagine anyone else in the whole BSN forum worried as much about what page they're on than us? I wonder why they would change it. Fear that we'll reach some max page cap too soon?? Syncing with the old BSN page numbering?

But really? I'm just glad it wasn't what I originally feared: that they'd deleted inappropriate posts!

(EDIT: No, it seems it's because the old Old BSN is now gone. RIP.)

Aw, now the other Cullen thread is below 4000 pages.  :(

AND ... it messed up R2's link(s). Grrr....

Naw, it's no big deal. Actually in this sense it's really good, because it means all our old celebrations are where they're supposed to be. Page 500!!  (EDIT: Should be updated. If you see something broken, let me know)

I saw the page count this morning and thought what the heck happened?  My first thought is that we'd gotten in trouble somehow...sure glad to hear the real reason! And it is such strange timing.  The cosmos is a rad place, I think.   ;)

Question. I am working in red lyrium into my fic. I am trying to compare the "singing" in the blue vs. the red version. In my fic, Cullen, as well as other Templars can hear the singing of lyrium after consumption.

If you could just give me one good word or phrase, how do you think red lyrium would sound?

Cacophonous or dissonant... I like Artemis' discordant too. I've been imagining it to be like an uncomfortable ringing in the ears. Like when you leave a very loud concert.

I like that, too. I like to imagine it like whispering... low level, creepy whispering that you can't quite hear, but tickles down your spine and you can't shake it off.

Well, I had a tons of bookmarks of interesting stuff devs were saying. It should all be here, but now I need to google it or something. I lost that post where DG was joking about Cullen being a creepy stalker. I really liked that one.

I've been stalking following GE for a while now, but now I get to stalk follow even more of my fellow Cullenites! Thanks :)

I'm wondering that as well. What's interesting is that some links still work. Like I have links in the OP to two fics that folks posted on their BSN blogs. Those two links still work, but all the forum links that I've tried are broken, as is the the Legacy BSN link at the bottom of these pages

Aaaand, some old links actually work here on the new forum, if the thread has been archived apparently.

Here's the old 'templars and chastity' link from DG: http://social.biowar...01810/2#4813272

It redirects to the new page which is archived, just not the exact post. Yay?

Here's the new one: http://forum.bioware...-2#entry3697948

XD  That's more the Minnesota "hoser" accent.  I think by Midwest they mean major metro Midwest.  Chicago, St. Louis, and most Ohio cities.  Halle Barry's an Ohio girl (like me) and has the Midwest/Neutral accent.

I love how Indiana was skipped altogether here. :(

Just kidding. But we have the same accent Chicago and Ohio people have. :D
