I think I just wrote "front of my chest" or something similar lol I really don't like writing very explicit stuff; even words like "nipple" make me shudder. It bothers me to think of someone getting off to something I wrote... plus I feel like I'm being cheap to the characters. Writing this fic kind of reminded me why I gave up writing explicit love scenes, but at the same time, it was kind of fun diving back into it!

 

I thought I'd be okay with it because reading it is no big deal for me, but I have the worst time getting past the internal cringing I feel when I'm the one writing it.  Idk.

I know those feels. I have similar issues with drawing sometimes. Looking at art, totally fine. Drawing anyone without clothes...uuhhhnah.

I know what you mean! Several times I just paused and thought, can I really write this? I mean, really? (It is just a personal thing; kudos to those who love writing erotic stuff!) Erotica has its place in literature, and a person can be very skilled at writing it, but for some reason, I just balk at it. I also don't really like reading it (well definitely I'd prefer erotica to porn ... YMMV as on all things). I think I wrote about his head bobbing between his lover's legs... yeah, I felt awkward about writing that. But what's funny is the old me wouldn't have thought twice about it I used to write some SERIOUSLY explicit fics. I just don't have it in me anymore!

Whatever happend to the Knight Captain Cullen's fan club ? In the old forum it showed up under My Content --> My Groups (something like that). But now it says that I haven't joined any group. So, I take it that the groups were not moved to the new forum?

For me, very sexually explicit writing can easily cross the borderline from erotic into comical. I often find that stories that are just suggestive and leave more to the imagination have more of the desired effect, because there's less chance they'll conjure up a weird mental image and make me laugh.

It's sad, but I'm not overly excited about any of the nine companions. I'm curious about the Grey Warden and Sera, and I generally like Cass and Vivienne. Varric I'm tired of, Solas I see nothing that really interests me (and I don't like his look), and I also don't like the look of mustache guy. Cole I'm kind of curious about, but I already read Asunder, so. Am I forgetting anyone? 

 

Maybe it's just oversaturation. I've never followed a video game pre-release before!

Or maybe it's because we don't actually know anything abt the companions. Except Cass, Viv, Varric. The other 6 companions we don't even know their names. We got that survey leak thing, but not the same as knowing something from the devs, and having a shiny new in game pic of the companion.

 

So, it's kinda hard to get excited abt characters that we know lil to nothing abt.

I found myself writing more about what they were feeling during the sexy time than what they were doing.  It's where I'm more comfortable, I think. It's kind of cool...I think I actually learned something about myself while working on this project. Who knew that was still possible at this point in my life?

I just got a new gaming laptop recently so I'm happy. Been saving up for it for the last 2 years.
