well you *could* kill it if you  were a mage,  at ostagar that way  you wouldn't have him appear later in the game

I'm not sure if they mean literally Cullen, or that dev they nicknamed Cullen for some in-joke reason. Then there's this:

Well, if they make improvements to his top lip and make his hair a little darker blonde then that's a bonus, I guess!

To be fair, I'm gonna romance him regardless so it doesn't really matter. It would just be nice to see him looking a little more like his DA2 counterpart like Cassandra and Varric do.

I dunno. TBH, I think he looks as much like his DA2 counterpart as Varric and Cassandra do. I think the latter have just grown on us, as will this iteration of Cullen. I was shocked by how different Cass and Varric looked from DA2. So I've been expecting this with Cullen. :shrug: Different, but still awesome.

You're right. Plus I think once he starts talking and GE's voice comes out it will be just fine. We'll all be talking about how much we love new!Cullen.

Yup I think it's hard to say yet how Cullen will look in the actual game since he's so small and unsharp in the picture and that's just one scene. He looks very different in the concept art than there too. I think we just have to wait for more clear pictures of him to be sure how he's going to look

To be honest from the small glimpse we had I like his new model, he looks rather imposing.Besides he's pretty much how I expected him to look on frostbite in the first place.

To what I excepted his hair is little too light and not wavy enough... idk about face since the picture is too small. I was just suprised about certain features that lacked in the war room shot that he has had in previous games. Since it's so small and just one pic I don't think it's sure that he will look exactly like that in DAI. However if that's his new looks it's okay to me, he looks little different but still really handsome. As long as his face isn't bloated like Zevs and Alistair's in DA2 I'm happy XD

I was thinking, doesn't it seem weird that Cullen's singing in DAI? Like, we've been going on about that idea in the thread(s) for years, but I never thought for a second that they'd include something like that, let alone be aware that GE could even sing... although I suppose it's in his resume.

I dunno, I can't help but think that they're trolling us on this one, lol.

Would BioWare even want him to be so upfront as to what to expect from Cullen? I'm 50% sure BioWare/GE are trolling with us in the tone that Cullen sings in. At the very least, this makes me think it'll be some drunken song with Iron Bill or someone and not a funeral-type of situation- I just can't see GE trolling us to THAT degree.

Still, I have hope it'll be a soft, sweet song for our Inquisitor's ears only.

Or his "companionship" comment. Or his quickly deleted booth pic from 2012. The way he set up the singing reveal, it really seemed to me that that was the one thing he was allowed to tell us.

Yeah, hard to say. I guess my gut feeling is that, for whatever BW thinks about the Cullenites, our enthusiasm is a ready-made marketing opportunity for them. I mean, that's really what the whole cullenparty thingie turned into, complete with community manager oversight. I can't see them using it to spread misinformation. I mean... sure, they could be frakking with us... and they do, but it would surprise me if this was one of those times, you know? 

 

And, as always, time will tell!

Personally,I don't really care what he sings in the game as long as he sings!GE has a beautiful voice and the opportunity to hear him sing, in one of my favourite games as one of my favourite characters is always welcomed.

They changed Anders' face at least once before the release of DAII. He had a different model in the demo. So maybe they are still tweaking some characters? Which I totally approve of, because Cullen in the trailer looked like a prince charming instead of himself. Not saying it's bad, but I'd prefer him to be recognizable. And older. He looks much younger than me (although he kind of must be older), and I feel like pouncing on him must be illegal.

I agree that varric, cassandra and cullen look off. Varric's appearance doesn't bother me, but Cass and Cullen are kind of cringe worthy IMO. Cass looks excessively masculine and angry, while Cullen appears kinda milktoasty (timid and mealy).
Morrigan too has seen some tough times apparently.
Poor Cullen. Three major plastic surgeries. DA2 was his best.

Lelianna on the other hand seems to look great.
