I'm leaning more towards fur. In cropped images where the contrast has been turned up you can see lighter streaks of color that make more sense in animal fur than in feathers.

if you look at the DA2 models that had fur and feathers you can immediately see the difference for instance one of Hawkes armors cant remember if it was for a mage or warrior had fur and  the shape of that mesh wasn't spread out like that where as Anders had feathers and it looks a lot more like what Cullen has

Yeah, I am thinking its fur. Feathers just remind me of what mages wear, so hopefully they won't use feathers on Cullen.

To be honest,it's very difficult to say with such quality so both could be correct,although I think If they went for fur they'd probably use different textures and models for Sola's Furs.

For example these two armours from Skyrim both have Fur but the textures and the models are different.

The first looks more like Cullen's pauldrons while the second one is more like the one in Sola's outfit...Although the engine and the graphics are different (not to mention that it's a different game from a different company ).

 

I'm leaning more towards fur atm...

He looks younger to me, and I cant tell if he has any facial hair!....oh well still looks good and I am liken the hair so far! and the outfit is epic!

I do love him in rich deep colors and gold stitching! So glad to see he still has a swanky wardrobe. And I agree with the feather consensus. Doesn't look like fur to me.

Edit: And he DOES look younger! The scamp! I totally blame the rounder features though. Makes him a bit baby faced. Without stubble or a goatee or something, the effect is amplified.

For the record:

 

I don't ship Cullen with anybody but my Inquisitor. They are soul mates. Sorry! 

 

Although this is true, I do hope that if my Inquisitor doesn't get to romance Cullen, Cullen still gets a romance with somebody. I don't have a strong feeling about who it should be, but it would be really nice to see him get to be happy with someone after all this time.

This is a good point. The glowy blue light in the War Table pic is almost like Glamour Shots^TM. LOL!

Good point about Cullen; funnily enough though, I like Solas' face better on the left than on the right If he's gonna be a baldy, at least let him have a cute face!
