Okay, now I feel a bit weird. It sounds like many (if not most) of y'all already have a concept for your Inquisitor worked out in your heads. About the only thing I know for sure is that I'll start with a rogue, because that's the class I'm most comfortable with. 

 

I could have written those exact words myself.  I kinda create my characters from my gut when I get the game in hand.  It's part of the whole process really, a part that I anticipate right along with everything else.  Like you, the only thing I know for sure at this point is my first playthrough will be as a rogue. And without doubt, my second will be as a mage.

I hope there will be some kind of information about our Inquisitor's background before we start the game. Because maybe I imagine that my mage is from Tevinter, but she will be from Orlais. Maybe I think she's an apostate, but she's a senior enchanter in some Circle I just can't plan anything without any information.

lol, it will be worse if there will be no information on the Inquisitor's background, and I'll make up a story, and then the game will contradict it (like DAII did with my canon for my Amell).

I also role-play my build, so I need more information on stats, skills, specs, etc.

Like others have said, I need more information on a human mage Inquisitor's background to really start developing my character... assuming there is a set background.
All I really know is that I plan on using my worldstate where female Amell was the Warden and Hawke was also a female mage. Ideally my Inquisitor will have a similar personality to my Amell, because I always found it touching to think that Cullen carried a torch for Amell/Surana for years and I want him to be reminded of Amell when he meets my Inquisitor. My Amell was a Loyalist, and my Hawke was a Libertarian, so I'm thinking my Inquisitor will be an Aequitarian. She doesn't want to completely dismantle the Circle, but she does want to reform it.

To all my Dragon's Dogma peeps in this thread - I wanted to take some screenshots of my pawn last night, but I was working late and I'm also terrible at getting good action shots!
I will try and get a mugshot of him soon because it's hard to find players who appreciate pretty boy pawns.

All these inquisitor ideas sound great! I'm going as a rogue human my first run through for sure. After that I'm thinking a dwarf warrior who is BFFs with Varric...all depends on what our romance options end up being. :3

Ok I need some help. I can't remember if it was announced in the last few days from bioware/dragonage that we would be getting exciting news this week. I know Steve Valentine has an announcement planned for tomorrow, but that may or may not be DAI related. Did I dream of this incoming news? I just remember being told exciting news was to come this week.

Man all of you have well thought out and good ideas for your inquisitor. The only thing I know about mine is that she will be a female Qunari two handed warrior, and that she will romance Cullen if possible. If Cullen isn't an option for a Qunari then she'll romance Iron Bull. My second is going to be a female human mage and Cullen will be hers.

I don't recall any similar promises from BW, except DH's pledges that they're reworking the follower reveals to allow them all before game launch. Here's hoping that means soon!

While nothing has been committed to paper yet, I do have some ideas about my canon Inquisitor.

 

For starters, he will be a human rogue. Dashing and handsome, he has a talent for conversation that pretty much gets him what he wants...and has saved him more than once in tricky situations. In matters of the heart, it's nothing more than a game to him. He's more interested in obtaining the unobtainable and then moving on, not taking into consideration the feelings of his 'prey'.

 

Just from this, I can already see two challenges for this guy (tentatively named "Rollind Trevelyan" if the surnames from the gameplay video are accurate): first off, if he's the only survivor from the Breach he's gonna have a lot of explaining to do to Cassandra -- and his gift of conversation may not be enough. Secondly, he may have found his romantic match if a certain former Knight-Captain-turned-advisor is romanceable.

 

I think it would be a slam-dunk if he gets to wear "The Hat", No one can resist "The Hat".

I think any character can wear the dashing hats. Didn't they say that any class can wear any armour? 

I sure hope so, I want the cool hats for my rogue as well c__c

Weird; I haven't met Mija in the Rift... do you perhaps have your account on private or something? You're evidently able to rent my pawns but I can't rent yours. 

 

Soon as I see Mija I will gift him/her with loads of stuff!

Yeah, I prolly have it locked down. I do that. I lock my ish down. I'll fiddle with it and see what's going on there. Ill check out the DD thread here. I got the Bitter Vlack Isle thing. I haven't done that yet. Not even close. A lil intimidated, but such a fun game.

From what I remember recently, I think it was Adela that tweeted DH. And he ended up saying that something was coming in the next "weeks".

 

Sooo, that could be like 2 weeks, or 8 weeks. lol!

Cullen's character kit came out and they decided to go in a new direction, giving him a mountain-man beard and bright green hair. The meeting to discuss our march to Bioware headquarters is tomorrow at 5. Bring your own pitchfork
