His character model, along with all of the character models, aren't 100% complete yet. During alpha, they will touch things up.
Yes, I agree with this. While other characters such as Varric or Cass and maybe even Viv are somewhat complete you can kind of see the other characters that haven't been showed before that they don't have that much detail to them like for example in the "last supper" scene... Cullens model u can kind of see his shoulder armor slightly penetrate through his arm a lil bit, witch clearly hasn't been fully weighted yet to prevent such clipping between the meshes..witch is why he doesnt move that much and kind of has a "statue" pose to him, it takes quite a bit of time when it comes to rigging a character let alone model and adding a lot of detail to it..
For example when I work with such things, and even try to somewhat animate my own characters for specific renders there are still some "glitches" or in other-words not "skining " the model right to its skeleton, in order to get the right deformation for that movement... but im not gonna go into too much detail with that as I don't think is what Eric meant by it , and more meant by detailing of the texture of the specific character itself, witch can also be a "placeholder" of what the texture *should* look like on a model by placing a very basic color texture on it with not that much detail on to it as we saw on Cullen.
But then again every gaming company and its developers has their own way of doing things, and what im saying right now *may*not apply to what they are trying to do but this is just how *I* personally do things when it comes to things like that... but just remember tho, they still have 6 more months to clean up things and do tweaks to the model so nothing is set in stone just yet as the designers may have a change of thought how they would want things to look in the final product so personally, while I wasn't too excited about Cullen's look when I 1st saw him, I know that it will be changed with more detailed in the future... so fear not
