I'm so happy that I found this forum! I have been lonely for years not having anyone to gush over Cullen with. It's a hard life being the only female in a circle of friends that plays RPG games =( 

 

I'm not entirely certain whether or not Cullen has been confirmed as a companion or adviser (not that it matters, I will be romancing the stoic out of him either way) and I'm also not sure what has been confirmed for the Grey Warden, but wouldn't the Grey Warden make a better Military Adviser over Cullen? Maybe I am still holding out a wee bit of hope that Cullen will be confirmed as a companion eventually.

So here's something I've been thinking about. We've talked about how our Inquisitor might deal with Cullen-as-house-husband, but how will he deal with it? More seriously, how would he deal with being somewhat sidelined as an 'advisor' or general or person-behind-the-scenes as opposed to being out in the field protecting and battling and whatnot? Is he well suited for it? Would he think he's well suited for it? Thoughts?

 

I think a lot is going to depend on where he's been and what he's been up to in the (months? years?) between DA2 and DAI. It could be that he took an injury which precludes him going out in the field often, or at all. Plus, we don't have much description of his role beyond "advisor," nor do we know exactly what that means in game terms. Maybe we'll be able to issue orders/instructions, and send him off into the field to take care of things for us, particularly if we decide to focus on military might in our gameplay. 

 

As for him personally ... I doubt he'd be thrilled to be relegated to REMF status, assuming that's what y'all mean by "house husband." I also hope that we'll get to see him--and the other advisors--doing more than just standing around a la Varel at Vigil's Keep. I suspect that we will, given the mentions we've had of agents acting on our behalf.

Thanks, I only just found out a couple of days ago that he had been confirmed as an LI and I hadn't really been holding out much hope since so many fans seem to want to embed a blade in him. So I'm still on my high, walking around the house and on occasion breaking out into my happy dance which is promptly ceased by my boyfriends glare from across the room hah

Caught up finally!

 

I ran my marathon this morning in the pouring rain and I think I broke my foot again (stress fracture). So I should have lots of sitting down time to work on my 'lil Cullencraft. Which is coming along nicely.

 

I think Cullen filling a role as advisor means he won't be just hanging around our main base making sure the curtains are dusted and the like. A military advisor needs to know what's up with the troops, so I presume he'll be inspecting their bases and investigating what they're up to in order to better advise the inquisition. 

 

I would like to be able to return to our keep and find he isn't there actually, because he's off doing his job. Then we can wait for and worry about him for once. And warm up the honey.

This is crazy for me that you'd ask this now, because it hits really close to the subject matter of my 1000-pg. fic that I just finished, so I'm not going really say anything more about what I think lest ruin my own contribution to the celebration.  It's kinda interesting to see what everyone else thinks, tho.

I want to sext Cullen right now! And upload this dragon on instagram!'
