Probably so. More of it in abundance speeds it up, and probably behemoths can facilitate its faster growth as well.

 

so would the same apply to regular old blue lyrium then? If so, can we 'plant' it somewhere to reduce reliance on Orzammar?

 

though I guess it would get out of hand too, and cause mass craziness, etc.

Naw. For the celebration, anyone can do what they want, like always. Those using 'raunchy' as inspiration for their work should proceed. The point is limiting the baldly NSFW stuff within the thread itself, like I've said. Tag stuff that's NSFW or Mature, and link to it from elsewhere. 

 

For art in particular, deviantart has very nice opt-in mature filters, so linking to a work there does it all for you. Those who don't want to see it, won't. Those who do, will. 

 

For stories, you'll need to link to it posted elsewhere anyway, and just tag it.

Possibly. However, I don't think the blue version is nearly as potent or dangerous. And it doesn't seem to grow nearly as quick as its red equivalent.

I'd bet money that this is true. I don't think it's fully sentient like a person, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has an...awareness of its surroundings. And perhaps it gains greater sentience through bonding with people, a la Behemoths. That being said, I don't think it's necessarily alive.

 

I like the theory that Red Lyrium is the Thedasian equivalent of the One Ring. It's not exactly alive as such, but something possessing a will of it's own and with a predisposition towards bringing out malevolence in others.

Well, the total mass of red lyrium did increase when it added Meredith to itself. (And the sword looked bigger than the idol to me, but my memory is hazy.)
