II'm not sure I really count as a Cullenite but here goes:
1. I want to see how he's changed. The man was driven mad by magic and manages to scrape together enough empathy to try to do exactly what he suggested the Warden not do--show mercy. He's a character who stands at a tipping point, a knight in tarnished armor. Will he be bitter about his time in Kirkwall? What kind of man will he be now that he's having to define himself as something other than a templar? (Whether he's left the order or not, he's going to have to talk about more than mages). I have a weakness for "knightly" characters especially if it's a real struggle for them to uphold that ideal. Cullen could have been the madman of DAO's epilogue or followed Meredith down the rabbit hole. He chooses to be a good templar, even if it takes him a while.
2. I don't want him used as a stick to beat one side or the other in the mage-templar debate. This is a complex issue and I'd hate to see it reduced to Cullen flagellating himself about ever being a templar. Or regressing to a "kill 'em all" attitude.
I'm fairly sanguine about romance. I romanced Samantha and Sebastian. It's the illusion that the PC and LI have a connection that matters, not the amount of content per se.
... You can stay!
