Actually it's fun to use low level pawns; they help me level up faster ![]()
I don't have a lot of fighter gear though... if you want gear for other vocations, just change him and I'll load him up ![]()

1. In general, just getting to know him better in any way possible. Especially as a love interest.
2. His romance will be minor compared to others.
This. Especially number 2. As an NPC romance, this could be a major problem. The ME NPC romances just weren't as long or good, to be frank. So I'm more than a little concerned about this.
Preach on, preach on. This is actually my biggest concern, too. I'm afraid the romance/set-up going to be exactly like ME's Kelly Chambers. "You've received new messages at your desk, Inquisitor."
...
Or even worse. Just like Jessica Chobot. *flinch*

They received a lot of feedback on ME3 romances. So bet those will be taken into account for Inquisition
Okay - so we wanted to get y'alls opinion on two questions:
What do the Cullenites look forward to the most with Cullen's role in DA:I?
And their biggest concern?
I am most excited to see how his character's views have changed. I'm looking forward to being able to discuss with him how his experiences in Kirkwall and the Ferelden Circle have affected him. I suppose, I really want to know what he thinks the optimal solution for the mages freedom vs public security is and why he thinks it.
I am most concerned about his (supposed) NPC adviser role. I'm worried that this means we will have less conversations and more trivial interactions with his character. I fear that he will be left out of the companions ambient banter (a feature I very much enjoy and find valuable in showcasing the personalities and views of the NPCs) and we will not get to know him as well as the follower characters. I suppose, I worry he will seem less important or integral to the plot than other characters and I like him, so naturally I want him front and center in the action. ![]()

What I am looking forward to most? Honestly, getting to know him. Getting to see how he's processed everything that's happened in his adult life, to get to this point. Getting to see what he's like in more private moments.
My biggest concern is a small fear that the fandom will go from being this eclectic mishmash of wonderful, accepting, glorious people to being...something else.
I've seen other Dragon Age fandoms, and I think the Cullen fandom is one of the mellowest and most chill, classy, loving and funny fandoms. And I would miss this if it changed into something unrecognizable.
Yeah, romance is definitely not the most important part! The game is going to be amazing, and this is just one small aspect.
It's just, this is super dumb but I've gotten attached to my Inquisitor, and she's such a sweet, caring person that it kind of makes me sad to think of the possibility of nobody thinking she's good enough to love.
...Yeah it sounds even dumber written out than it did in my head.
Playing a lil catch up. apologies.
But no, it's not dumb. Not at all.
And yes, the romances are just a small part of the game, and the game itself looks fantastic. And the romances are not the most important part, but they're kinda important to me. They add this extra "oomph" to the whole story for me. The whole adventure.
So, I'm a lil concerned with what BW may, or may not, be doing in regards to the romances. Tbh, I feel silly that it means as much to me as it does, but I can't lie.
I'm, too, am trying to focus on all the awesome stuff BW is doing w/the game, but there's still this lil sad kitten inside. A tiny, tiny bit of the "Oomph" is missing.
I wish it did not matter. But, eh, whatever, right? It'll be a great game, and hhey I get to romance Cullen even though we won't share any of the amazing adventures together. It's still something.
There's that.
What I'm looking fwd to? Just running into Cullen and recruiting him. I'm gonna be like , omigawd! omigawd! I'm looking fwd to seeing him in game w/personality and facial expressions and everything!

I've used sum ppl's pawns that I loved so much I wanted to keep them as long as I could. It was a nice touch at the end of the game when they had this storybook kinda epilogue thing, and the pawns you used the most appeared. And bowed to you. Not all the other ones I switched in and out, but the ones that were with me longest.
I liked that lil touch.
Those new screenshots look beautiful.
Holy 3 posts in a row. Well that's my limit.

HEY ADELA!!!!!!!
Oh, I just thought of another concern. If Cullen is a non-companion, he won't get to participate in the final boss battle with us. I loved the snogging Fenris scene before the final fights in DA2, it was so gloriously cinematic and appropriate, somehow. I want that kind of scene with my LI in DAI. I always made my 'own' version in DAO by snogging Alistair right before opening the tower door to the archdemon fight (it wasn't nearly as exciting as the Devs from DA2
). So, I want to keep my tradition going in DAI - I'm not facing impossible odds and near certain death without a quick cuddle to fortify me for the fight.
Should I throw in a pre-order cancelled threat here?
After reading some posts,I must admit that I find it rather fascinating that we actually know so little about Cullen, considering how limited the interaction with him was in the previews games.Hopefully,we'll get the chance to know him better in this game.

We didn't get to snog him, true, but he was there. ![]()

I wouldn't worry about it,he even participated in the final battle in DA2 where his role wasn't that important...Besides I think we'll get the opportunity to have an appropriate goodbye scene with our LI whether npc or companion. ![]()

That was my favorite laughing-at-my-own-fan-tears moment in DAO... I played it after the Mass Effect games so I was like "cool, OK, Bioware game, night before the big battle! Looking forward to one last romance scene in this big old castle!" ... aaaaand Dark Ritual. If he doesn't participate, I still have faith there will be some last-goodbye thing with Cullen that we wouldn't get with the party romances, though.

Yup, this is why about 85% of my attention on him is focused on what I believe to be great character growth potential.
It's not the combat I'm worried about, it's all the strategic sending out agents and crafting stuff that baffles me. My poor Inquisitor is gonna be running around with her arse hanging out of her trousers, failing miserably at every turning!

I'm the opposite. I love love love the strategy and planning but when it comes to hard core combat I'm all "Run away! Run away!!!!". But I'm a fantastic puppetmaster. ![]()

Yeah, it's the snogging that's the important part though. Risking death, opposing Meredith blah, blah, blah....if he doesn't pucker up, it doesn't count! ![]()
