I still think nothing could be worse than FemShep Queen of workplace sexual harassment - - - Jacob, Vega, (cough)Thane-I-know-your-wife-died-tragically-but-how-'bout-it-  conversations.  She was a menace!

 

Someone really killed Thane's romance for me with that dialogue. If someone talks about person that he lost and was dear to him.. and seems to be griefing what kind of person just goes: "I'm here! Look at me! Romance me and forgot her!" There should be option to pat his shoulder or hug him.. to do something nice to ease his pain. And then continue his romance when he's ready to think about you. I just don't want to be selfish brick who can't even feel empathy towards someone's pain and loss.

Talent tree to unlock benefits for the Inquisitor, huh?  Honestly, this is all I can think of...

 

Military Cullen Talent Tree:

 -- Stealthy Flirting: So subtle and awkward that you may not know he was flirting til it was too late.

 -- Liquid Courage: Overcome fears of intimacy and fraternization within the Inquisition ranks.

     -- Love of the Maker: Cullen sings and suddenly everyone's kissing everyone. 

     -- Cook's Night Off: Romantic candlelit dinner, so long as it's not also your turn to cook.

         -- Templar Business: *fade to black*unless you've installed Sleep Until Dawn*

             -- I Told You So: Automatic, 'get out of the doghouse free' card. Good for only one argument.

I looked up trypophobia. Why?!? Why would I do this!?!? I am now pretty sure I have trypophobia, I can't even look at that stuff without my temperature spiking to 102 and breaking out in a sweat.

 

I... somehow don't? I think the Surinam Toad is pretty neat, and none of the "test" images bother me.

 

Of course, it took me years to stop panicking about silver cars, so I'm not going to judge anyone else's irrational fears.

Okay - so we wanted to get y'alls opinion on two questions:

 

What do the Cullenites look forward to the most with Cullen's role in DA:I?

 

And their biggest concern?

 

1.) What I'm looking forward to most is seeing Cullen really coming into his own as a character. For two games, he's been this fascinating minor NPC who was very much on the sidelines. Now he gets to have a significant role, and we get to interact with him in more meaningful ways. I look forward to learning more about him, talking to him, hopefully seeing his more relaxed and happy side now and then. I'm most looking forward to spending time getting to know him better.

 

2.) I'm actually not worried that he's an NPC romance. I feel like Bioware wouldn't do it at all if they didn't think they could do it right, so I trust them to pull it off.

 

What I am concerned about is the potential restrictions for which characters can and can't romance Cullen. I realize this issue is to some degree self-inflicted, because I can always make a different character... but I have a particular character I really want to have with him, and I'll be pretty bummed if I can't. I'll still enjoy the game, but it'll be potentially disappointing even if certain restrictions (e.g. mage) make sense.

Aww, who am I gonna taunt about silver cars now? My Cat? Pshhhhh He doesn't care about half the things I talk to him about.

I kinda understand though. I have pretty bad anxiety/social anxiety so I am really afraid of a lot of weird things, for example: people, shag carpeting in other peoples homes, public bathrooms, getting hives, red apples, ice getting on my teeth, etc.......

 

I vote the cat; he's a captive audience! 

 

Yeah, I can definitely relate to the odd anxieties because who is afraid of cars based on color? It's silly! Knowing it's silly doesn't make it go away, though. I didn't always have that fear - I was hit by one and it took some getting over.

Now I feel kind of weird. I'm generally pretty agnostic on both gender and romance. I know I will have *a* romance because it helps me tell the story better, as it were, but I hardly ever have an OTP. So Cullen banter, Dirian banter, Cass banter, as long as somebody provides entertaining interpersonal dynamics. And there's always adviser banter. I have a sudden urge to do a fem!Amell and romance Leliana just for my own headcanon amusement and the conversations they could have.Actually, I've been noodling a Cullen/Amell fic set during DA2 but don't know if I can pull it off.

This totally didn't occur to me but you're probably spot on! I bet we will walk into the war room and hear the advisers banter a lot! That would be so awesome because then we actually could hear him banter! Maybe we/followers could interact to it as well.

His facial hair actually gets burned completely off when he rescues orphaned children, kittens, puppies and moogles from a burning chantry. The fire also takes all of his clothes and ruins the ones he was wearing. Thus the inquisitor names fire the hero of Thedas!
