I don't know if it's been talked about yet, but I noticed in the new "leaked" article they talk about having the choice to lead your Inquisition army in to fight the red templars that have taken a settlement hostage. If Cullen is the military advisor, do you think he'll come into battle with us? I wonder what his reaction to the situation will be, as an ex-templar. I also wonder if there will be many other opportunities like this, where Cullen could potentially assist you along with the Inquisition army.

Or Fade dirt, lol! Gawd knows. Maybe we meet some magical spirit thing in there that stabs us in the hand and grants us the power to close veil tears? Or maybe we had to spill a little blood in order to get out of the Fade again? I'm really intrigued to find out!
And since we can walk in and out of the fade...does that mean we can take things out of it?
Inquisitor: Hey Varric, you finished making those omelettes?
*Rest of the party waiting impatiently in the camp*
Varric: Almost, just got to throw in some...*rummages through bag* sod it, we're all out of mushrooms
Party: *groan*
Varric: Guys I can still use some elfroot!
Solas: And exhaust all the elfroot resources in this area? are you mad?!
Cass: We need them for health potions Varric, they don't exactly grow in abundance anymore
Sera: You trying to get us killed Varric?
Varric:
Fine , no elfroot then, we'll eat them just the way they are
IB: But only you put 2 ingredients them! That's no omelette, you need 3 things at least!
Party: *nodding at each other* yep, uh huh, he's right
Varric: Fine! I'll go into the spider infested forest and get your bloody mush-
*Giant green flash*
Inquisitor: Here you go *throws bag at Varric*
Varric: Wha-*pulls out a glowing mushroom* what is this?
Inquisitor: Fade mushroom, I tore open a veil when you guys were all arguing, you're welcome
Varric: Is it safe to... eat?
Inquisitor: Sure. I've been taking all kinds of stuff from there. Fade potatoes, Fade apples, that glass of milk you're about to drink?
Cass: *stares at the screaming , glowing contents in her glass* 0_0
Inquisitor: Milked that from a Fade Cow...at least I think it was a cow...

You know this gives you all the power, right? You could just make stuff up.
You: YOU. GUYS. Guess what's in Keep?
Collective Mass: OMG WHA.
You: I just found out one of the default stories you can build in here!
Collective Mass: *collectively leans forward*
You: Basically, you've been abandoned by your family and have had to fight in the streets for your survival.
Collective Mass: Ooh, okay.
You: You enter a training program to become an elite fighter. This position gives you special gifts.
Collective Mass: Yes, yes, makes sense.
You: And after fighting with your entire group for a long time, your ship gets attacked and you get SPACED.
Singular Mass Member: ...isn't that the beginning to Mass Effect 2?
You: Shh. I'm talking.
Collective Mass: K.
Oh second thought, please don't.
Basically, Bioware has all the power and I am like the commoner given a glorious chance to serve them in a fantastical castle and even though I am a servant, I'm rather giddy to be one, considering I'm inside a fantastical castle instead of being left out in dark, if that makes sense? Lol.

If we can close the Fade Tears with our glowy hand thing, does that also mean that we might be able to open new Tears as well?
I have no idea why we'd want to, but surely the power doesn't simply work in just one way? Could be fun I suppose to screw with our enemies by opening a new Tear next to their keep and simply letting the demons wipe them out for us...
And while I doubt that everything in that trailer is necessarily what happens in game, when the Inquisitor is falling with their glowing hand reaching out, having a way to jump into the Fade to survive a perilous fall might be useful... if you don't mind the fact that you'll probably end up in the Fade completely surrounded by demons and be forced to close that same tear later?

Has it been confirmed to be a method of fast travel? Would make sense if it was.

Nope, just speculating wildly.
Would be cool though if we could pop in and out of various Fade Tears to cover more ground or even get the jump on some of the demons, who wouldn't expect you to pop in from behind them, relatively speaking. Of course, then we'd probably end up veering into Portal or Bioshock Infinite territory (not that that'd be a bad thing).

Normally, I'd say it's unlikely for an advisor-type people to assist in any battles. However, both Leliana and Cullen have fought in the past and that makes me think it's possible they could fight again. Especially Cullen, as he's part or our actual army, and it would be strange if the army was involved, but our General remained off-scene. (This is not necessarily true in current-day, but, well, this is a game and people like action as opposed to boring reality.

That would be cool. If it did happen I would certainly pick all military options

I also feel like it would be strange for Cullen and Leliana to not take an active role in their divisions with the history they have. I really hope he does come with us and we can talk to him about it, though. It's an amazing opportunity for character development for him, if he could be there to fight the red templars with us. It's also really sad, but I'd still love to see his reaction to what they became after his previous experience with Meredith. I wonder if he ever tried to tell the other templar what happened in Kirkwall and was rebuffed by them. I've thought the leadership may have downplayed or even outright lied about what happened to Meredith to encourage red lyrium use. Cullen is one of the only people that actually saw what happened, so I've been wondering where that put him in the scenario.

To be honest, for this I'd say that we should wait for Cullen's role to be clarified first,I think that if he's indeed the military leader instead of simply an advisor on military matters, there is a greater possibility for him to have physical presence in the battlefield. The troops are more likely to be motivated, if the person leading them has an active part in the battle instead of just giving orders from the keep.

I started at 13/14. I'm 20 now. Though I started playing M rated games at 11, so...
I think he'll be there as a general type character, and we'll tell him what strategy we want him to use (be stealthy, storm the gate, etc.) and he'll coordinate the troops.

I saw kids on WoW that were as young as 11/12... go figure.
As for fast travel, I doubt we see any beyond the mounts (hey it's faster than the walking we had to do in DA:O), unless they incorporate [redacted] from TME.

Same, I think that the redacted might happen for special story sections, but otherwise a mount will be the extent of fast travel.

To be fair now, even the grown ups turn 11/12 when playing WoW.
My gaming adventure started when I was at the tender age of 5 with a purple gameboy color and Pokemon Yellow. And now, here I am. Bet my parents regret that. ![]()
Traveling using [redacted] sounds painful, honestly. Plus I'd be too paranoid and think I'll miss things.
