I love how DAI is shaping up, but I do have one concern. So, the devs said we can continue playing after the main story ends, right? Well, you could do that with Skyrim too and tbh doing just the main story in Skyrim on it's own was dull, short and paper thin... I'm kinda worried that DAI's main story will be short and/or feel paper thin too.

 

This is my concern as well. Or that I'll be walking too much because the enemies aren't scaled to my level...

I couldn't even begin to imagine what a DAI expansion (like Awakenings and the cancelled Exalted March) set after the main story would be about? I mean, the Fade breach is such a big deal that I don't know what other major quest the Inquisitor could be sent on that wouldn't feel lackluster in comparison.

 

 

 

New locations. Easily. Just because we Inquired into the problem of the breach, doesn't mean we can't inquire into other problems.

Yeah it is a reference to your post.   I have a cat too, although he is nowhere near as cute as your wittle kitties. Did I read your Twitter correctly, they are named Hawke and Ser Pounce? That is probably the cutest thing ever.   *squeeeeeeeee*
I actually am getting another cat soon and naming him Felassan. The one I have now is named Scout (To Kill A Mockingbird reference)

Aw, thanks! I believe it was Meli Landry (idk what her username is in here bc I think she changed it) suggested Hawke for my baby girl b/c I was stumped. I knew I was going to name my boy Ser Pounce the day I got him. I've always wanted a cat named Ser Pounce ever since Anders said it. And Felassan's a cool name, plus, he was pretty awesome in TME.

OK no more freaking redacted spoilers, you TME spoilers, you! Now I'm convinced the characters are riding around on griffins, but they're the uncomfortable type of griffins... the kind where have you have to fly coach.

Vamp, my Likes are gone, but that's awesome!!

 

 

Well actually they are griffin-spirit hybrid things brought back form a secret location in the fade using red lyrium and accessed by the eluvian that Merrill rebuilt. Avaline is there and serves as the chief griffin belly-rubber. Fenris kills them all in the end though because he thinks it was too magic-y. Oh and Hawke is off on vacation with the warden, soaking up sun.

Catching up on this thread. So many pages overnight, I thought BioWare shared screenshots of bathing Cullen on twitter or something Looks like my guess was close to truth.

 

 Re: Hawke. I've never liked Hawkes much. Too pre-defined to create a character I would like myself, but too generic to play as is. Looks like I'm with the minority who liked the Warden better I hope the Inquisitor will give me more freedom for RP. The Orlesian Warden in DAA was actually my favourite origin, because I wrote it myself entirely.

 

 Re: the demonic hand of doom. I don't think it happens because the Inquisitor was injured in the Fade, or touched fade lyrium, or whatever, because our Wardens have done it all before, and nothing happened. It must be something really unusual, maybe whatever tore the Veil apart had a side effect. Or maybe there is a force or a being that secretly works against the Big Bad, and this was something they did. Or maybe the Inquisitor was choosen by the Maker!  But in that case, with DG's approach to faith, we will never know, and probably will be speculating forever (and that's ok by me).

 

 Re: special snowflake. I'm absolutely ok with that.    Epic adventures is what I play games for. Bring it on!   I'm ready to create a character who will embrace the power, both political, magical, divine, whatever.
