So... I went to Gamestop and bought the book for Thief. Playing that game blind is for the birds! lol! And I picked up the new Game Informer because an addressing snafu keeps me from getting it delivered. Two things I noticed about the May edition of the mag: It's much thinner than it used to be (I'm hoping that's temporary). And there's no mention of Dragon Age. I know I can't expect DA:I to be in every G.I. from here 'til the game releases, but I can hope. *sniff*

Ah. Still... not much in the May issue is of interest to me. Maybe Infamous: Second Son... It's stupid but I get bummed when I get the mag and there's nothing I care about in it. Not Assassin's Creed: Unity, not DA:I - nothing. Fortnight may be of interest I suppose.... possibly. It's a long shot though.

Exciting! I remember last year (at least I think it was last year) a bunch of us from the old thread all went on Skype to watch and talk about E3 as it was happening, myself, R2, Lola, Shades, Brush, Avejajed...probably a lot more but I can't seem to remember who was around at that time   Then Cameron Lee joined in on Skype too, and laughed at our pain since we thought they were going to surprise us w/ a Dragon Age announcement/trailer 

 

 I did the same thing with a group from the old thread too! But I forget which year it was.

It's crazy to think about how far we've come, isn't it? How desperate we were for any DA info, let alone knowing now that not only is Cullen in the game but he is totally bang-able   *sigh* Sometimes it's just pretty unbelievable to think about being at this point compared to a year ago, and where we'll be a year from now.

Omg, I just managed to perfectly recreate my canon sarcastic/humorous mage Hawke from my Xbox 360 version of the game in the PC version! I've been wanting to show you guys him for soooo long!:

 

 

It took me so long to perfect his look, but this is the dude that made me really appreciate DA2... plus, he's easy on the eyes (in my opinion!)

I remember seeing it and I was so pumped up ^^ I was just so happy to see him again, our favorite templars is all right and looking good (though it was really small pic.. it still looked good XD). I thought he was companion at the point so of cource I was happy with opportunity to be his friend.. but now we can be also his love so it's all good even if he isn't companion.

And we couldn't tell right away whether the teaser was CGI or in game. Was that the right one?

I agree. I think that we will get a "story trailer" to complement the gameplay one we got a few weeks back.

 

If they do a playable demo at a booth, then I'd bet on a look at character generator (come on earrings!) and race selection.

Omg, I desperately need them to add earrings and piercings to the CC! It would make recreating myself in-game a whole lot easier!

Nope, not even a mention of it. There was some game w/ dragons that totally faked us out though. Cam was pretty surprised that we expected to see something, or that we were hoping for it. 

 

Edit: I have a really odd memory. I can remember really small details from really random things, then forget how I got into bed the night before

Hmm, probably the Hawke vs Qunari CGI trailer if anything, I can't remember paying attention to it when I was following that game development.

Ok, so DA2 was announced after E3 (July 2010) and came out before the next E3 even happened (March 2011) The Destiny trailer was the 1st one they showed preview wise, but as for E3 they did nothing for that game because of the short development timeframe between announcing the game and release.

I'm hoping they do little gameplay trailers of each companion in action, like something they could add to their characters page as we get closer to the release date. It'd be a cool way to show off game mechanics, w/out spoiling the plot too heavily since we'll already know what classes the companions are as they get announced.

I agree. Although, I'm still crossing my fingers for maybe a Flemeth narrated trailer to contrast Morrigan's. And they'll probably be doing a bunch of gameplay demonstrations at their booth.

Ooo I know!. They could do a bunch of ME2 style trailers showing off our new companions! No major spoilers just a taste of what our group is going be like. They can even do one for the advisors.
