You know, it's really hard to give an LI grief if they're stuck at the Keep.

 

I read that as the companions giving Inquisitor grief about the LI. Like Varric gave Hawke "the talk" in DA2. Doesn't matter where the LI is in that case.

Or those are mostly his civvies, and this was a very impromptu meeting. 

 

But the fact that Cullen isn't in his Templar armor is something to ponder. Really, if he becomes an advisor NPC, the I'd expect him to not be in the Templars anymore. However, he could have founded a separate segment of Templars and didn't want to use his old armor.

 

The second thing is less likely, I think, because Cullen has been shown to have strong faith.

But he was wearing templar regalia in the survey leak. Weak... but there you go.

Oh, whoever you're romancing, Varric gives you the come to Andraste talk. Altho, I believe at one point it was bugged for certain LIs. I don't know what I would search for on youtube.  Hmm... maybe someone else has it handy. I'll poke around.

Depending when you played the game, that dialogue might've been bugged. Before the patch came out you can see it only with Anders.
