Indeed. I see them aiming for more Tevinter and Nevarra in the next game.

Possible. The two were probably discussed as location in DAI pre-production phase.
Though I'd say that if DAI will be a success they might decide to release an expansion on Nevarra.

I honestly don't remember him in DA:A too much (only played it once) but man his brief cameo in DA2 was smokin'!

Oh heck yeah, he was.

I've only ever brought Couslands over into DA:A so I don't know if the dialogue is different with Wardens who didn't have such a, um, colorful history with his family. But I wanted my Warden to have the option to make some irrational choices that first time around.  <_<

I'm in the odd position that DAI is the first time I'm coming into a DA game with emotional investment. And unfortunately my preferred outcomes and favorite characters don't seem to match either writer or fan preferences. (Anora queen, Alistair dead, no DR, Sebastian friendmance, etc). So I'm nervous it'll be ME3 again and I'll spend the whole game very grouchy.

Why would you be grouchy? :3

*wonders idly if she's the only one with an executed Alistair*

I was planning on having a run like that, but I really wanted to be sure he was dead, so I'm gonna have him sacrifice himself instead.

What? I just... really like Anora, okay?

I'd prefer to be thoroughly spoiled. I had a nervous breakdown--nausea, crying--over some info in the ME3 leak (not ending related) and if my first encounter with the info had been the actual game, it'd have been much worse. So if something I won't like happens, I'd prefer to be spoiled.

Oh man, pretty much the same here. I have anxiety issues up the wazoo, so, while in a perfect world I'd like to go unspoiled, it actually ruins the game for me. I haven't played AC4 after getting the boat because I opened the world map and just froze because I don't know where go. And I bought that game at the midnight release with the PS4. I really need a step-by-step guide on how to not miss anything in that game.

So, for me, spoilers don't ruin the experience, they let me actually enjoy the story. Like, I will actively spoil myself while watching movies with my family (yay smart phones) so I can just relax. And sports. Gah. I'm a huge sports fan but it's just too much for me, especially now with hockey and basketball playoffs happening. So I generally have my laptop on-hand to help redirect my attention before I, like, explode.

His father is the one who killed Cousland's parents, right?

If you don't have a Cousland, how do you even know anything about Nate's dad? I can't remember. Is he even in the game?

In my first playthrough of DAO, I never got Sten...what a mistake :D

I had lot of trouble of getting Wynne in my team. I didn't even know she was potential companion at the moment, I just took Morrigan to broken circle quest which resulted her attacking us. There is possibility that she doesn't attack but I don't remember the actual dialogue at the point, I just know that I always chose wrong dialogue option at that point ^^; So no Wynne for me with my first Wardens.

He's one of Logain's supporters, and he's a total arse to the Warden at the Landsmeet

*Edit* Also, I believe he's the one who has Anora in his house...maybe? Idk, all I remember is you SPOILERS kill him in his basement :3

When I played ME3, I feel like the game went out of it's way to tell me I ;iked the wrong characters for the wrong reasons, that my moral and political views were wrong, and I'd just generally played the game wrong. Now I have an attachment to their other franchise and scared of having that feeling again because I made unpopular choices.

Arl Howe is Loghain's main supporter. He's the one who took Anora as a prisoner.
I'm not gonna lie, I loved killing him with my Cousland.

Well we're gonna have the keep, so unpopular choices will matter too :3

Aye. The Howes and Couslands have a long history going way back to being on opposing sides with Orlais. Rendon betrays the Couslands in the origin story, leading to the death of many of your Warden's family members.

And then you get to have sweet, sweet revenge.

Weellllll you can pick the unpopular choices but the game might still say 'Hey, no we're going to go this way anyways"

I hope not, it would be fun to have a play through with all the unpopular choices. Too bad we don't have a community poll that shows if you followed what everyone else did or if you went off in the other direction, kind of like the walking dead.

But I think one of the reasons they used the keep is so people could play with the unpopular choices. No? Maybe? Idk

In my one-part canon, my Cousland Warden was nearly driven mad by Howe's treachery, and when he saw him being Loghain's advisor decided that he'd kill Loghain himself, since he believed it was confirmation that Loghain was behind Howe in the assassination of the Couslands.
I said 'one-part' because in that same playthrough I roleplayed my Cousland in overcoming his rage and fury and deciding to recruit Loghain to have better chances against the archdemons. In both Alistair and Anora rule together. I honestly don't know which choices I should use as my definitive canon.

Heh, same here. It's actually not really personal with Al, but I want to be Anora when I grow up and don't see any reason Loghain can't be archdemon chow. And then Al starts showing up in the EU and he's the son of a Warden who was cured of her taint and his blood actually is special and...I just didn't want more in DAI.

http://www.examiner....ntrolled-armies

So I know this is a gaming article and the examiner to boot, but the whole having to upgrade your commander (I assume they are talking about what we call advisor) is just putting my mood down. I really hope that I don't have to constantly pick Military upgrades in order to romance Cullen; I hope his romance is separate from this whole shenanigans. I like to play different characters, so if I play one goody two shoe one that goes the political route, will she have to romance someone else because Cullen  is giving her the cold shoulder?

Inquisitor: Soo ... How are you doing, Cullen?

Cullen: (arms crossed in front of his chest, looks the other way) I'm not talking to you!

Inquisitor: Why?

Cullen: You didn't go with my military advise, you hurt my feelings. I worked really hard on that, you know!

Inquisitor: But .... Ohh, stop pouting already and let me love you!

The more info is revealed the less I actually get excited, I'm worried about the semi-open world deal, that the story will be lacking. The whole agents and keeps makes me worried that it'll be too strategic and if you don't go a certain way, you'll get shafted. I still think it looks gorgeous, there is no doubt about that. It just doesn't have the Dragon Age feel for me at the moment, i'm still excited for it to come out, but I do have my doubts.

Cullen doesn't know the full story! He doesn't know how Hawke ended up in Kirkwall, how Hawke met his/her friends, what happended during the expedition to the Deep Roads (he may not evern know about that expidition!). He doesn't know Hawke's motives, and doesn't really know Hawke well (unless you headcanon otherwise). And he doesn't know where Hawke went after they left Kirkwall. Cullen doesn't know where Meredith's sword came from, Cullen doesn't know whether Hawke was a part of Anders' plan or not. Cullen doesn't even know much about Anders and his plan, because he wasn't there when Anders blew up the Chantry. What Cassandra knows may have come from Cullen's reports.
Where did Aveline go - that's an interesting question. Maybe for political reasons it became dangerous for her to stay in Kirkwall, and she left too. I think it's safe to say that Aveline wasn't there when Cassandra arrived, or Cassandra would have talked to her too.

true. But he knew, as per Cassandra's epiphany, "Meredith was to blame."

I'm usually against people wanting to brutally murder characters.. but Howe is one of exceptions. It was quite satisfactory to see my Couslands crush his head ^^;

It's cool. I can see why people would hate her. My Cousland wasn't interested in ruling (being a Warden saved him from insanity, and he wanted to dedicate himself in facing the darskpawn), and he believed that if he choose one of the two there'll be supporters of the other who would cause problems. Making them rule together would be the best outcome, and hardened Al wouldn't be a puppet for Anora.

I'n really excited to finally have some Big Mystery lore revealed :).
As for the second blog, I wonder if he was referring to the character he wanted to write since he joined Bioware.

Ooooh! I just remembered! My only main DAA headcanon is that since my Warden became queen, she left Oghren in charge of the Ferelden Wardens :3

Also, now I'm super curious what big mystery legend lore Mr. Gaider was talking about that's, "hidden away" :3
