I don't see anything to suggest it'll impact romance (though following their path could be how you increase approval, assuming they have approval). It looks more like a refinement of the War Assets system.http://www.examiner....ntrolled-armies
So I know this is a gaming article and the examiner to boot, but the whole having to upgrade your commander (I assume they are talking about what we call advisor) is just putting my mood down. I really hope that I don't have to constantly pick Military upgrades in order to romance Cullen; I hope his romance is separate from this whole shenanigans. I like to play different characters, so if I play one goody two shoe one that goes the political route, will she have to romance someone else because Cullen is giving her the cold shoulder?
Inquisitor: Soo ... How are you doing, Cullen?
Cullen: (arms crossed in front of his chest, looks the other way) I'm not talking to you?
Inquisitor: Why?
Cullen: You didn't go with my military advise, you hurt my feelings. I worked really hard on that, you know!
Inquisitor: But .... Ohh, stop pouting already and let me love you!
The more info is revealed the less I actually get excited, I'm worried about the semi-open world deal, that the story will be lacking. The whole agents and keeps makes me worried that it'll be too strategic and if you don't go a certain way, you'll get shafted. I still think it looks gorgeous, there is no doubt about that. It just doesn't have the Dragon Age feel for me at the moment, i'm still excited for it to come out, but I do have my doubts.

I feel like there wont be approval this time around. I feel like they might take the ME2 road where all you have to do is keep talking to them over and over until the decide to say the same thing again and again ![]()

I'm going to a system where I go from commerce to military to espionage. So essetially my first fort will be commerce and then my fourth fort would be commerce as well.

I know it doesn't say anything about it, but how are you supposed to get approval from Cullen? You can't take him with you, so you don't get it from questing, So unless they make the romance separate from the advisory things, i don't see how you can get it.

But I think one of the reasons they used the keep is so people could play with the unpopular choices. No? Maybe? Idk
Nobody knows! lol except those lucky people who already get to play around with it c___c

I hope not. I don't like ME's system without aproval. I want my companions to react more and change their views on me depending all my choices, not just the tie breaker. I want to bride them with gifts. I'd love to see DAO's aproval system in DAI, it's my favorite.

DAI's system is based on approval, though it'll be a bit different.

I'm usually against people wanting to brutally murder characters.. but Howe is one of exceptions. It was quite satisfactory to see my Couslands crush his head ^^;
Here here, and fresh out of likes.

If that's the case I'm curious how it will work with advisors, although I doubt they'll make you take the military path just to romance Cullen.

Who cannot be non-mage. Again no equality.
If everything was equal rights and gender open in Thedas then the controversy and stories that are interwoven into the lore would be a whole lot duller. Personally, I like that their are bigots, racists, sexists, etc in the DA games because it gives the characters and my protagonist something to fight for, to prove a point that women can rule, that elves should be respected, etc.

And I agree, I don't think that for romancing him of Scribbles you have of take the military/political path.

Agreed. Though it is nice to see some places where things differ from the norm. Like in Orlais, they don't give two f*cks about the gender of the person you sleep with, as long as it's not an elf or lower class servant.

They have said it will be based on conversations with the characters.

Skyhold Throne
Every ruler should sit in a place of high honor, but as the Inquisitor you will have the greatest of all, fashioned from an ancient dragon skull.
Am I the only one who saw this and immediately thought;
Inquisitor: Well this won't do at all... this throne has got to go!
Cassandra: It has been the throne of Skyhold for the past 500 years!
Inquisitor: Cass, look at it! It's made of skulls! Do you really think we're going to win the hearts and minds of people, while you've got my backside plonked on a chair that looks like it came off the cover of "Villains Monthly"?!
Cassandra: Well we're not moving it...
Cullen: You know, I thought I saw a decent looking chair in the dungeons?
Inquisitor: Well that sounds perfect, fetch... the comfy chair!
*Dramatic chord sting*
I know, I know... I couldn't resist... ![]()

Morrigan, Alistair and Zevran did it, right? It could happen, though I'd like this time to see the actual gift

I love this idea. Indeed, I bet there's no red velvet rope holding passerby back from the statue. Imagine the influence it could have.I've been pondering over the possibility of Meredith's remains whispering to passers by - especially to loyal templars who might be tending her grave/statue. Whispers that lead back to the thaig, because the red lyrium wants to be found.
