I think something simple like this would be more to my tastes, personally
As much as I laughed at the more blatant innuendo, I'm not too sure it's appropriate for us to send to him. It might come across as a little creepy stalkerish - maybe?

I feel your pain.I'd love to, but can't...le sigh.
I had the impression Cullen didn't like m!Amell much in Origins
I thought so too, but Cullen says the that the Warden "saved" them - if he sees it that way, maybe any personal dislike mellowed or seemed less significant?
See, he loves us regardless of ported game.
Yeah, exactly! That's why I thought it was worth posting, actually. It's interesting that Cullen has residual fond platonic feelings for the version of the mage Warden he didn't have a crush on.

Well, to be fair, right after the Warden saves the Circle, Cullen totally hates both f!Amell and m!Amell. But I think he just realized later that what the Warden did was the right thing, and he should be grateful. For his life as well. So looks like he eventually went back to being a total fan of f!Amell, and acknowledged that m!Amell was ok too
Also, the Warden is super-awesome-heroic-mega-hero-and-savior of Ferelden and Thedas, and I bet Cullen was impressed by the whole defeating the Archdemon and stopping the Blight thing ![]()

Agreed. The man watched his friends get tortured and killed, and had been tortured himself for who knows how long. He would have been in rough shape both physically and mentally by the time the Warden came along and rescued him. The fact he was able to work through that enough to respect and even admire a mage Warden speaks to his strength of character.
I really liked what they did with him in DA2. It would have been so easy for the writers to turn him into a one-note, mage-hating zealot. Instead, they showed that while the experience at Kinloch Hold left deep scars on his pysche, it did not scour all the compassion and decency out of him. And now that he's experienced what extremists on both sides of the mage/templar question are capable of, it will be interesting to see where they take him in DAI.

Yeah, it all seems reasonable - Cullen would have been experiencing pretty strong negative emotions in the immediate aftermath. I don't think that part is surprising under the circumstances. I can't imagine holding that against the poor guy, after all he'd been through!
I was aware that his feelings about Kinloch Hold had changed by the end of DA2 (he outright states those feelings to Meredith and Hawke in the templar ending, i.e. that the circle could/should have been saved,) I just hadn't realized his view was that nuanced so early on or that he had actively positive feelings toward the male version of the mage Warden at any point.

This is what I was trying to say, really.
I'd kind of assumed that at that point in his character arc, the female mage Warden was kind of the only exception in his mind due to his past crush. (Since I did know he thought he had "never met her like.") It was interesting to me to realize tonight that in fact he could respect and admire the male version too even at that early point in his journey.
This is totally off topic but one of my residents completely ruined the phrase "the only exception" for me and now I can't even type it with a straight face.
^^^ This is exactly why I love this board.
You two, I think we should be allowed to call any of our theories as canon because these are points too brilliantly made to go to waste.
And Hannah, now you have to explain "the only exception." ![]()

We want to send Greg Ellis a copy of DA:O Ultimate Edition and DA:2 (if bioware does not send him them first), and we are all going to pitch in a little bit (75$ for both on Amazon so right now it works out out be about $3 to 5$ per person) . The list is people who can and want to pitch in.
I'll edit that post so everyone who reads it is clear on what the list is for.
Nice, with so many pitching in it will make it very affordable for everyone
I'll start making a list, please let me know if I missed you or mistakenly added you

Meanwhile I made 2 videos to compare Cullen's dialogues with miss Amell and Mr. Amell in Magi Origin ![]()
You can notice that f!Amell knows Cullen by name, and it looks like they've talked before. M!Amell doesn't know Cullen by name, so apparently they didn't know each other well, and he only remembers m!Amell as "that bloke who saved the Circle, he was ok, I guess".

I don't care either way but I'm sure his delicate sensibilities would still remain in tact. ![]()

Count me in. We should probably get him both games. Make sure he's aware and confirms that it's cool first though.
Yup, we have people on that, littlenikki tweeted him, although it wouldn't hurt if you tweeted him too. Bioware might send him the games themselves, so this might all just be for naught.

His probably would but mine would never survive the typing of such a message - so it's just not going to fly. ![]()

Okay guys, sorry for OT but I'm comfortable here so I'll just ask y'all. In DA2 during MOtA, have any of you -not- helped Tallis after you learn she's Qunari? My internet connection right now is too slow for YouTube and googling and reading bunch of websites is too. Just wondering because I never have... Does it matter at all in the end?
Okay, couldn't post this on Twitter because of character limit.
Hopefully I can answer this by copy/pasting from the wiki.
Straight from the wiki: Mark Of The Assassin DLC (Quest - Heart of The Many. Area - Mountainside Path)
Information is Spoiler'd because of longness.

Exactly^
Don't want him to get the games, and then ours rolls in the mail to him a couple days later... AWKWARD...
but put me on the list as well

@ellisgreg The #Cullenites would like to thank your kindness by buying the game for you! Could you let us know how best to get it to you?
I'd imagine, like many celebrities, that he has a P.O. Box?

Yes, but we don't know his P.O. Box address, or if Bioware is sending him the games, or if he even wants us to send him the games.
(Cheshire says, not knowing if Eric was being sarcastic or not. She then stepped away from her computer, still confused about how internet sarcasm works.) ![]()
*EDIT* Top of the page? Well then, we need a Cullen.

And Hannah, now you have to explain "the only exception."
It's probably one of those you had to be there things, but you know the country song "You Are the Only Exception"? One of my residents really liked that song, but she would (jokingly, of course) go around singing it as "You are the only contraceptive." Now I hear it that way in my mind when I say or type it, and it makes it hard to take myself seriously. ![]()
And as a celebrity, I'm sure Greg has more than enough money to buy his own games, lol. Sorry but that's just me. I would be really surprised if he gives an address and/or accepts the super kind offer. Yall are so sweet, though. If anything, you all make the Cullenites look great! I really love being a part of this thread
It's not about the money, it's about a gesture indicating we appreciate how sweet and patient Greg has been with us.
The majority of actors will accept mail through their agents or production companies; no one is expecting Greg to give out his home address or anything obviously. ![]()

Yeah, the probability that he will accept is pretty low. But no one will ever be able to say 'The Cullenites weren't prepared'. Us Cullenites are NOTHING, if not prepared. *puts on tinfoil hat* Besides, preparing for impossible things helps my anxiety. *hides in trash can*
