I'm 25 and I have this annoying streak of white that grows out awkwardly near my parting, which I've had since I was a little kid. Since it looks really odd against my brown hair and refuses to part on one side or another, I tend to just cut it off.

 

Incidentally, I was also born with extra fingers on each hand...

It's not a thing, really. A couple people have been doing it for some reason (not that I'm compaining ) for the last few pages. We hadn't really done it for the last 700 pages or so. I think at some point it was done in the old thread...? I know people used to do it in the Fenris thread.

 

I don't keep very many pics on my computer so I can't really do it

It's a thing that's nice to do, but usually isn't done. So no worries, either way.

So apparently I missed the Rise of the Cullenites when I got away from BSN in 2012 for family reasons Was it the leaked picture from DA3 that gave the 2.0 thread the second wind?

I joined the thread in 2012, so not sure? I remember when the survey leak came out, and we were excited that Cullen was in it. Although I remember that the general consensus was "We aren't 100% SURE that's Cullen, so don't get your hopes up!" lol 

Naw, it wasn't catalyzed by the new game coming out, it was catalyzed by the people. It picked up again in early 2012, leading to our first celebration in Sept '12.

Sadly, they didn't have any bones in them, so my extra fingers were removed a couple days after I was born. Alas, I'm just a mere mortal at gaming, as shown by my tendency to wuss out and play on easy or casual.

 

I still haven't gotten the Reaper's Cudgel yet... *sighs*  So close, but yet so far!

From what I was told, it kind of fizzled out a little after you had to go, but was rebuilt shortly after... timeline-wise, it looks like it did coincide with the leak. But I'm not positive.

The man slowly melts into her embrace, letting loose a sigh of contented bliss into the misty air. Unbeknownst to him, small streams of light are rising from his heart, only to be absorbed by the creature of desire that lay above him. His face began to slowly wither as she began to glow brighter in response. And through it all, he smiled in happiness, filled with dreams of his beloved. These dreams held him tightly, until he had breathed his last, sliding into Death's sweet, cold embrace.

COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC but while I was brushing my hair today.. I notice I have a few strands of white hair WHITE HAIR IM ONLY 25... why am i getting old so fast.. wtf

LOL I earned my first while applying to grad school at 22, so I attribute them to stress (and promptly yanked those suckers out). Maybe it's the new job? Wear 'em with pride!
 

I shall work on some sort of fiction then because 1000 pages is a BIG DEAL
 
I really want to do a mage for my first playthrough, but I don't want to give Cullen PTSD either lol

On the celebrations, they're just for fun. Some Cullenites use their amazing creativity to create ... whatever! Fic, poems, recipes, art, photomanips, crafts, banters, silly limericks, anything fun. See the OP for past examples. Only rule is that it should be Culleny. Some prompts for inspiration this round are Greg Ellis's tweets about raunchy talk and singing (not necessarily at same time), but it's not necessary to follow a theme at all.  When he hit page 1000, we'll post, reserving each of the 25 posts for celebration stuff (so no chit chat til it's over!). 
 
Please post any fic/writing that's longer than 500 words elsewhere and just link to it from here. Any pics/arts/crafts that are NSFW should also be posted elsewhere and only linked, with appropriate tags/warnings.

Fanfic.net is probably the easiest. ao3 has the best most comprehensive tagging system (it's opensource) and is more forgiving of mature themes (you can also include inline pics within the fic). 
 
tumblr is... tumblr. YMMV
 
I've never used LJ or DW, but I know some folks prefer them. 
 
deviantart is mostly art, but has some nice groups where you can post DA fic to spread the Word of Cullen.
 
I can share more in PM if you want more of a suggestion.

We managed to do 800 pages in less than a month. We will hit 1000 probably by 2 weeks at the absolute latest.

I've been thinking a bit.

As Cullen is now a confirmed LI in the game, are you going to be romancing him on your first playthrough? I remember playing DAO for the first time as an elf and discovering just before the landsmeet that making Alistair the king without having hardened him would make him break up with you. Took me completely by surprise as I had not been spoiled on it until then. Such plot twist are great but have a way of messing with your plans Are you going to try and avoid any possible twists with the Cullen romance by playing the game once before romancing him to see what his role is?

I personally am a little on the fence about it. On one hand I like to plan how I'm going to play a game but on the other I loved the twist on the Alistair romance as well as the whole Dark Ritual thing with Morrigan so I would hate to miss out on the surprise!

 

 

I tend to play queer characters pretty exclusively, so it's going to depend on whether or not he's available for both genders. If he is, then yeah, I'll probably wind up romancing him on my first playthrough. If he isn't, then I'll probably romance him on a later playthrough.

 

Honestly? Who you can romance is pretty much the only thing I want to be spoiled about. I was spoiled on everything going into DAO, courtesy of watching Former Flatmate play the game on PS3 before I got the PC version for myself. I still enjoyed the hell out of it, mind you. But I went into DA2 knowing nothing more than what I'd seen in the trailers, and it wound up being a much more intense experience because of it. I had no clue what was coming around the corner next, and I loved every minute of discovery as the plot unfolded. 

 

Okay, gotta run, I've got tons of RL crap I have to get finished. Gonna be a very busy evening for me, so I probably won't be on again until much, much later. Yay being a nite owl?
