Gonna get Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for PC soon, any mods you guys recommend me getting?

I played the DA games on PS3 so I'm not sure about mods, but I do know there's one called Karma's Companions that (among other things) makes Cullen romanceable. Although of course, this is less exciting now that he's going to be a love interest in DAI, so personally I'd be inclined to wait for the real thing.

Also this mod is a serious pain in the butt to get working it's a massive file AND you can only romance Cullrn as a female Mage. Also I got it to work and many of the companion quests just didn't work so it was a moot point.

You can skip the Fade mission with just a mod? WHY WASN'T I TOLD!?!?!

What's cool about it is it does still give you the leveling up points AND you get to see your companions fade dreams still.

Heh heh! New screenshot seems to confirm my theory that the symbol/logo for the Commerce-oriented keeps is a bell!! 
 

 
The Inquisition markers seem to be unclaimed/un-upgraded places. Owls are espionage (green). Bell (red) must be commerce! w00T!
 
 

Oh yeah! I remember now! Wow it's been a while since I've thought about these. Here's was my one idea. There might be a bell here up on a pole, like the other two keep symbols. But I don't think I've seen a bell anywhere on the map.
 

For comparison, here are the three keep types they told us about. Note the fist at the military keep and the owl at the espionage one. Still don't see any identifying markers in the commerce one.

There is a cool Cullen romance mod and a "skip the fade" mod I love. I wish they had a "skip ostagar" mod. Let's see....they have some so you can have more skin,hair eye color options and better weapons and armor.

 

Thank you so much! If only there was a skip Ostagar. I dread that and the fade in Origins. I mean, I love the the characters from those places but just cannot stand the quests.

Reading the past few pages has made me love Cullenites even more! 

 

I always feel like I need a shower after going to Walmart, but I have avoided them like the plague they are since all of those sweatshop deaths in Bangladesh.  Same with Old Navy, which is where I used to buy most of my clothes.

 

That site.....it's all so true. 

 

This just reminded me, the other day I was imagining a Mage/Cullen relationship playing out a bit like Pride and Prejudice.

 

Cullen: You're a mage! We could never be together.

Mage:  Fine.  Jerk.

...

Cullen:  I love you even though you're a mage.

Mage:  Uh...

...

Cullen: I love you for who you are!

Mage:  Aww!   You should go into that lake and come out wearing nothing but a white shirt. 

Cullen: And pants...?

Mage:  No, just the shirt.  Run along now.

 

 

And now I feel like a total dork for sharing that... LOL!

 

Relax. Not all of the Walmarts are that bad. And there are plenty of normal grocery stores that have better prices and quality.

Would anybody be interested in using a chat channel? I know we frequently go off topic in here and while we usually do round back to Cullen/DA at some point, I do think it'd be nice to have a place where we can talk about off topic stuff and not really have to be self conscious about it. I know a lot of us just like to talk to each other, regardless of the topic. 

 

I could easily set it up too (I used to mod a channel a looong time ago) and it's really simple.

 

 

If nobody is interested, that's cool too.

Get a mod that adds a chest to the camp. And you may also like some cosmetic mods for hair and better proportions for women. I also have a mod that makes teeth white. Don't skip the Fade! At least the first time you play. Because you may love it. Fade is fun The annoyance remover is a useful mod too, it removes the visual effects of your sustained spells. It was a life savior for me, because I play as a mage on nightmare difficulty, and I have lots of this spells turned on, and all the sparkling makes my head ache

Re: Tranquisitor. I don't want it. What you guys forget is that most of the time only incompetent mages get tranquilized. So I personally wouldn't like to play an Inquisitor who can't set anything on fire except herself And the emo thing is another thing I'm not fond of. Plus the ugly brand. Eww. So I hope our Inq is a normal mage, powerful, and confident, and cool If you want to RP a tragic story of your Inquisitor getting tranquilized for political reasons, and then saved by the Fade powers, you can always do it, and even write a fic about it
