chat? who are you chatting? where?

It's a new chat Batteries/Obito started :) It's so we can save the thread for on-topic discussions: http://client00.chat.mibbit.com/

Just enter #Cullenites for the room or whatever it's called. EDIT: It's called the channel.

Well we were thinking, if there's nothing to say then so be it. A quiet thread is kind of inviting to newcomers anyway. The rapid rate at which this thread moves sometimes turns off curious onlookers who might otherwise be interested in jumping in.

yeah, I wanna know what my options are since we have set sexualities now.

Me too. Not knowing is bugging me.

My Inquisitor probably won't be able to romance Cullen (I created her before we even knew he'd be romanceable,) but it would be nice to know for sure so I wouldn't have to wonder about it anymore.

I was looking at the class specialisation options earlier, specifically the mage ones and I was reading the little description on the Knight Enchanter option. Apparently it's very rare for a mage to have the strength of will to focus their energy inwards. It sounds to me like it's some sort of Arcane warrior, so I think that's what I'll probably pick for my specialisation during my first playthrough, unless Rift Mage turns out to be cooler.

I'm definitely not going for necromancer, just in case Cullen's all like "oh hell no!" Maker knows I'm risking it trying to romance him as a mage with no confirmation as to whether or not he'd run for the hills, lol. I was thinking though, a Knight Enchanter sounds like something Cullen would respect and maybe feel more comfortable around in the "oh sh!t, is he/she gonna turn into an abomination" stakes, especially because to be one is rare and takes a lot of will power, and strength of will is what a mage needs in order to ignore the "infernal whisperings of the demons".

I doubt he'd be any worse than Fenris

Pray for my computer, y'all. It won't turn on and I am hoping it's just the cord that needs replacing. My 1000 Page Fic is on there...and nearly complete.

Even still, we are using the Chantry's resources to get jump started, which could be why some of our resources use their motifs.

If we look at the Inquisition emblem, we can see that it consists of 3 symbols: Chantry's sun, Sekeers' eye, and Templars' sword. It either means that we are a part of the Chantry, or that we are above all the 3 organizations, or that we unite them for the greater good or something like that.

I was thinking about what the devs said so far. At some point, they say, we will try to win the templars to our side, not the Red ones, and they don't want to talk with us, because apparently we have too little influence. So we must go and conquer more territories, take more strongholds, and recruit more people. If it's true that Cullen is our military advisor, that this task would be impossible without him, and that means he's not with the templars indeed.

That's not a good sign. Usually it's related to power supply if it does this.

It's the cord.

After checking it out, I noticed the portion by where it connects to the laptop is severely bent - when I moved it a certain way, the laptop started charging again. I must have bent it when I was switching rooms.

Hello, Amazon.com. Find me a new cord please.

As a random aside, in your headcanon, did Cullen go to Greenfell or not?

The way I imagine it is that he spent a few months there to recuperate physically and emotionally after the events at Kinloch Hold, and once he'd regained some stability he was reassigned to Kirkwall.

I think that's a good headcanon. Otherwise it's hard to imagine the raving, traumatized young man transforming into the calmer, more rational and mature (if still very traumatized) knight-captain only a year or so later.

Isn't it canon?

I thought Greagoir sent him there after the Blight, when mages started returning from the war, and Cullen grew super-paranoid (what if they learnt blood magic from the darkspawn???), and Greagoir decided to send him to a quiet village to guard the local Revered Mother, and Cullen spent there a couple of months. I was going to make something about his time there, and what happened, and how it helped him, but I don't have time for that anymore.

I also headcanon that Cullen requested to transfer him to Kirkwall. It doesn't really contradict the codex, because codex probably means an official paper from Greagoir, and I imagine Cullen just sent him a letter, "It's too quiet here, and I feel better when I'm busy. Please sent me somewhere where I can be too busy to think about what happened." And Greagoir said, "Ok, you go to Kirkwall, it's always busy there." And wrote to Meredith, "Hey, keep that guy as busy as you can!" And she thought, "Awesome, I have a ton of paperwork nobody wants to do! I hope that new guy has decent handwriting!"

Mages in Kinloch Hold didn't know Cullen went to Kirkwall after Greenfell, because why would anyone tell them? They probably overheard him talking about Greenfell when he was leaving, that's all. So when we hear them chatting about it a year later, it's because they think Cullen still serves there.

The egg stealing bastard? Though, I guess in Vivienne's case it's stealing the entire Magi Circle away from her.

Speaking of Dinosaurs and eggs, Happy Mother's Day everyone.  :wizard:

Unless there's a meaning behind that name,Lola had a nice theory  about the name, perhaps the faction known as "the red fists" might have been initially formed as an anti-red templar faction, something along the lines to fight the red templars with an iron fist(I don't remember it exactly) hence the name.

That's an interesting theory. Though it seems from recent interviews that the three factions aren't organizations but pillars of the Inquisition. The military 'faction' is our own army. I don't see it very likely that our army if formed completely by an external organization. It seems more likely to me that the arm is formed by the remaining forces of the Chantry plus new recruits, and that at its head is appointed a person that Cassandra might feel at ease (a Chantry loyal Cullen).
I know that it seems that cassandra has a lot of power and that the Inquisition is, at least initially, heavy Chantry/based, but with the fact that we can't choose our own advisors and that Cassandra is the one behind the formation of it, i don't see it likely that she'd approve on forming the Inquisition's army based on an external group.
