Yeah, some "Big Mysteries", but certainly never "Was the Maker real, and are the Old Gods really the elven pantheon?"
Not for now, I guess. I think it's too soon for now.

It's bad to wait until October to know, but I'm happy to know that they're revealing some big mysteries
.
I think it's pretty sure that we'll find out what red lyrium truly is, considering that it was hinted in the GI coverage too.
Honestly, I'm almost peeing my pants in excitement about this (forgive the metaphor! LOL). I mean, if lyrium is really something divine somehow, really "the essence of all creation" then what is the red lyrium? It seems to be bad-ish, so is it corrupted Lyrium? Who would corrupt it? Darkspawn? Old Gods? It is the source of the Taint?
I always thought it was interesting in The Calling how the taint seemed to be more like a disease living in the Deep Roads, with its own... I dunno source and purpose. It just seemed very mysterious. Plus the fact that the Blight is really about how the land itself becomes Blighted, something that was hard to appreciate in DA:O. Could the red lyrium have something to do with that??
Not for now, I guess. I think it's too soon for now.
Also, given DG's comments on wanting to allow faith in their world, in contrast to fighting actually physical gods in DnD, I don't think the religions will ever be explained.

Personally, I like it this way. It makes the world much more fascinating to me. ![]()
So coming back to the 'is our General Cullen?' thing, I'm wondering. If we're the head of our organization, running everything including our own armies, in principle the General works for us. So, if Cullen is the General, then he's our subordinate, eh?
If he's not in our chain of command, then it sounds like he's more like an ambassador to us instead of leading our armies, and so would have his own agenda. I'm not sure what I prefer...

Me, too.
(in spite of the fact that I WANT TO KNOW! because I don't really want to know... )

I'm thinking that he is indeed our general. I doubt he'd just have an ambassador role.

I like it this way too, but then it makes me sad that we may never get to meet Fen'Harel.
... On second thought, they could always make Fen'Harel take on the form of some normal being and appear to us without us ever realizing it is him. Just some vague, non-definitive hints to allude to it down the line? I think I'd like that.
I just really like the idea of a loki god

Seeing he, and the other... can they still be called advisers? are in the big group shot when the Inquisitor says that 'we are now the Inquisition', I assume that means they're actually a part of our organisation? Making him our subordinate in a way? Though a very high-ranked subordinate.

Fen'Harel takes the form of a brothel worker? ![]()

Sigh...TME....

So long as I can romance him I don't care what his title is! He could be "Madam Cullen" and I'd still jump him! ![]()

Speaking of...I wonder how he'd like the addition of a brothel to Skyhold lol

Makes me think of the beginning of Saints Row 4. There were stripper poles all inside the White House ![]()
I'd love to customize Skyhold, though! Deciding to build a greenhouse to grow alchemy herbs instead of, say, a training room for troops or something.
Re: Lyrium&Taint (sounds like a Cullen/Warden smut story, lol). I'm re-reading Asunder now, and (spoilers?)

I think that since Cullen is present in the War Room, it makes him a part of our Inquisition. So I think he's the general. Ambassador is something less important, somebody you can ask to wait outside when you discuss your important plans of world domination, and then just give them a summary. The War Room concept and the trailer make it look like Cullen is equal with everybody else in that room.

Both sound good to me but I think I'd prefer General, it sounds cooler and like his closer of our Inquisitor : P

Yea, I hope the devs stick to their guns on this one and leave it open to interpretation.
You guys all make good points about the War Table and how they're all part of the Inquisition.
Soo....
General Cullen ?
Spymaster Leliana?
Um, Accountant Scribbles? Merchant Scribbles? Um...
Or... is there any way Cullen could still be a War Counselor or Secretary of Defense or something, and General is still some soldiery underling?

Ummm, Lucrosian Scribbles, anyone?

Spoiler
I also find the song veeeery interesting. There's something there... particularly ... [maybe Asunder spoilers? I don't think we've spoiler tagged for Asunder in so long, tho... but, anyway]

LOL Reading this from the wiki...
"Lucrosians prioritize the accumulation of wealth, with the gaining of political influence a close second. They are few in number."
All I can think is that the Lucrosians are the Sith, and "Always two there are. No more, no less. A master and an apprentice." ![]()

Generalissimo Cullen!
Subordinates only to the Inquisitor.
BTW, I think it would be awesome to hear Cullen calling my Inq "Your Reverence". And then I will romance that man.
And all the reverence will be shoved into the darkest corner of Skyhold fortress. ![]()

Lol, I just wanted a mage on our council too. And Lucrosians are supposedly the big money makers and masters of politics.
