My first run will be female elf mage, and I'm leaning towards Mythril Levallan, and if I decide to so a second run, it'll probably be a human rogue and since someone brought up Skyrim, I'm liking Aela Trevelyan

Oh,really liked Aela the huntress, the name's pretty as well I believe it means "to flow quickly"in ancient Norse.

It was originally a book? I totally didn't know that! It grew on me at the end of the film during the credits when Katy Bush is singing about Lyra. I love me some Kate Bush!

Its a trilogy by Philip Pulman.

Edit: "His dark materials" it`s the name of the trilogy. Golden Compass it`s the first book.

Actually, I think Lyra will be the name I use first. I just looked at the lyrics to that Kate Bush song and it totally fits!

i haven't thought of a name for my inquisitor yet. I usually need to design them first, and get a feel for what kinda background I'm going with and all that.

Usually as I'm designing a PC the name will come to me.

That's usually what I do too but I've got designs for Hawkes and Wardens that I never got around to using so I'm gonna modify them for my Inq. :D

In DA2 I couldn't get any of the females to look unique enough, lol.

DA2 was very hard to get the PC looking diff. Or maybe it was just me and my general preferences? it was hard to make a face that was more narrow in particular. my hawkes seem to like the very rounded face....all the time.

I found unique males were far easier to make. I'm hoping DAI really is as customisable as Cameron Lee claims.

I want to be able to make a very delicate and androgynous looking guy, but also a very masculine warrior type of guy. And the same for the women, too.

I can't wait until they release a playable CC demo, or until the game comes out. I wanna see everyone's very first Inquisitor designs!

So does your NDA expire October 7th?

I hope we can. Cameron seemed to reckon that we can create any face we want. Whether or not that's just promotional spiel remains to be seen.

Yeah as much as I like ME series and DA2 I felt really caged in by their CC. I pretty much had to create a macho dudebro (especially in ME). Now Hawke, I could make him look kind of young and definitely cute/good-looking, but he always looked pretty macho still. FemHawke was even worse; I felt like I was just swapping hairstyles and colors on the same face.

Even without the height and weight sliders, I still say Dragon's Dogma is what they should swing for. I mean the same character creator puts out pretty boys and macho men, pixie girls and Amazon women lol It's pretty awesome and really adds replayability.

I would suspect(or hope) that the character creator in Frostbite 3 is more advanced than anything they've done before. However, their comments on long hair has me concerned. If you noticed in all the videos and especially in the last supper picture, not a single character has long hair. It seems to be a problem with clipping.

The hair is still pretty awful compared to the rest of the game. It's still pre-alpha though, so I'm hoping at least the textures improve!

Even though long hair is a problem, they can't devise cool/pretty updos?  And save the hair-down look for emotional cut scenes when there's no armor to have it interact with and it's a controlled scenario so there's no player input conflicting with the code to make the hair flow right? I'm no dev but I don't see why the option to remove the metal and take the hair down when at home shouldn't be an option. In DA2, Hawke had house clothes. Making long hair flow around that should be easier than plate pauldrons, methinks. ^_^

I wouldn't even mind something like Dragon's Dogma. You didn't have sliders in that game but a ton of presets on everything. Still, it came out to be a surprisingly strong CC and I don't think I saw the same pawn look the same twice while viewing pawns online. I liked making a big bumbling looking idiots because it was just that much better to go around killing Ogres with a goofy looking character. You could increase height/weight. That's something I'd love to see in DA but I'd imagine it's a texturing nightmare to do with all the different armors.

I'll bet nobody ever thought a big goofy looking guy could save the world. Guess what!? I did it! Ha!

I totally agree! All we'd have to do is pick the long/different hairstyle in the CC for "in-door/civilian/noble clothing" and then it could automatically change to that when we're dossing around the Skyhold or in formal/relaxed attire.

It was expecially important for the Councilor choice, since there isn't a save after that choice.   I approve of that. My first character will be called like this.
The others i already planned are: Thorin Cadash, Gawain Trevelyan, Luthien Levallan.

Libertad Trevelyan or Libertad Levallan. Libertad means freedom. My character will be good but wild and crazy.  ^_^

That's adorable!

I really hope we can have our character be portrayed as a free spirit with a wild edge, I don't like to play my Inquisitor as the typical hero or aggressive vigilante.

Nah, it's just for a year. Plus, 3 days is an ok price to pay when I'll be able to drink away my Inquisition-waiting sorrows legally!

And in the UK it'll be a friday, so I won't have to worry about "homework"  <_<
