Hi Guys, I've come down with the flu and spent yesterday zonked out in bed. The last I heard people seem to think that Bioware gave Greg the games. I'm really just checking so I can go pass out again without worrying I'm supposed to be buying things etc.

I am heavily leaning towards Elowen Trevelyan for my first playthrough (female, human, dagger wielding rogue). After that who knows? I generally prefer to play as human, but may branch out this time.

 

Jenna and Mellyn are close seconds. I'll have to wait until I see what she looks like before I decide.

I really hope we can have our character be portrayed as a free spirit with a wild edge, I don't like to play my Inquisitor as the typical hero or aggressive vigilante.

I dunno... the way it's worded can also be speaking of intent, like once he gets them, that's what he'll do. Not the it means he did get them.

You could say, "I just ordered some new kickass boots! Upon receiving them, I shall wear them with everything I own." I hope he does have them already but I'm not sure that means he does. Just my two cents.

Yup yup. So at least it narrows it down, slightly. Either that scene is a flashforward, close to 9:40 but before she cut her hair, or she's had the book for 18 years. Or I suppose maybe she got the book briefly 18 years ago, and got it again in 9:40 (a scenario I've used in fic). Hmmm...

Hey guys been busy with work, kids and (watching Buffy in my free time) so I can't stay long to read but any news? Im Assuming no but I could get lucky! Also hi everybody hope you're all having an awesome Mother's Day! For some reason My little ones totally decided today was my partners day for celebration and I laughed (internally because it'll bug him before the general "aaawwwww" takes over. Also because I was so sure they thought I was the mother figure in this deal! ) and I also think it's really sweet they did stuff for him without telling either of us about it. I'm feeling really lucky and blessed right now . So news?

Also maybe this has been covered but if people decide to go with the donation I think GE sponsors a charity or helps out with one and that would be a good place to donate the money. Just as a heads up if you guys didn't know about it. Also when you guys pick a charity can someone let me know? I'd like to donate but I'd like to do it annonomsly separately instead of going through paypal and giving someone the money to give to the charity.

soo umm question... do we know for a fact that Cullen was born in Fereldan tho.....?  He could have originated from somewhere else.. I mean we know nothing about his family or his background... He could have been transferred to Fereldan as a child same way he got transferred to Kirkwall, what are your thoughts on this... any speculations/ suggestions ?

Haven't been around much... because I've been modding. At this point, the opening area is pretty much polished, the cutscenes run, and the followers get recruited. I hit what I call the Big Aha Moment when the scripting stops being incomprehensible gibberish and starts making sense. In other words, I'm at the point where the tightest bottleneck is level creation.

 

It has given me a new perspective (literally) on the decision to do away with tactical cameras in DA2. The ceilings are a royal PITA to line up. Worse than the door frames.

Nah, it's not a dumb question. As folks are fond of pointing out, the CHR files are not ironclad. But it's the best info we have. Also, doesn't mean his background couldn't be more complicated than that. Look at Leliana. She sounds Orlesian, but she's Fereldan.
