I have a few theories...and it so happened that I kinda think The Book had those drawings in them possibly from the very beginning.
? Do share. This book thing as been point of curiosity for me.
edit: ninj'd lol.

I wonder if the book was a Book of Prophecy...I mean, we know prophecy exists. Eleni Zinovia was a prophetic mage.
I was wondering that, too. Especially cuz of the stuff that happened in DA2 which may have led to the Red Lyrium all over fiasco, and big influence on the mage templar war.

Since I missed the Tim Curry talk, I demands we shift back for a bit.
I heart Tim Curry. I want him in my bed. I want to touch his face.
That is all.
I can't stop laughing at this. And I am out of likes. Why am I always out of likes when I need them most?
*sigh* Here, have some Tim Curry GIFs
Yes, I can't see it too. But maybe when the relationship becomes serious, and he gets used to it, he may stop being so polite and get more informal.
Inquisitor: (leans over the map to stick the flag to the Northern corner of Nevarra)
Cullen: (lovingly pats her butt)
Inquisitor: What was that?
Cullen: An... invitation *dramatic pause*
Well I can see him becoming more open and flirty when he gets to know Inquisitor better ^^

Perhaps Andraste was truly a prophetess...and maybe the book passed down through the Divines? I sense a conspiracy!!!!
I feel like I'm the only one who can see Cullen as super vulgar
You, me, and half the good fan fiction out there. ![]()
I don't see him as vulgar in the sense of a hormonal teenager, though. Is there a such thing as refined vulgarity?

...i like it. maybe they knew then, that something wicked this way comes.
When Cass handed the book over to Leli, Leli should have asked, "Uh, Cassandra, why are there knife marks in the sacred book?"
(tho, I'm sure that was just for dramatic affect.)
this book is importantt sum kinda way, and I believe the devs said we were gonna learn more abt why that is in DAI.
edit: or maybe something Truthful this way comes and they want to bury it.
I think I have an unhealthy interest in DA lore. ![]()
It's possible, I guess. Maybe The Book Mystery will be revealed in DAI?I wonder if the book was a Book of Prophecy...I mean, we know prophecy exists. Eleni Zinovia was a prophetic mage.

Refined vulgarity is pretty much my preferred method of flirting, I enjoy the bizarre juxtaposition of politeness and boorishness! ![]()
Hi Guys, I've come down with the flu and spent yesterday zonked out in bed. The last I heard people seem to think that Bioware gave Greg the games. I'm really just checking so I can go pass out again without worrying I'm supposed to be buying things etc.
Thanks
yup he got the games
Upon receiving @dragonage the game I shall play with myself (messy fumblings) & live tweet the experience to the #Cullenites
I dunno... the way it's worded can also be speaking of intent, like once he gets them, that's what he'll do. Not the it means he did get them.
You could say, "I just ordered some new kickass boots! Upon receiving them, I shall wear them with everything I own." I hope he does have them already but I'm not sure that means he does. Just my two cents.
Edit:
Hey there! Sorry to hear you're unwell!
I hope you feel better soon.
I agree with this. I imagine/hope that means he's getting the games for himself or from Bioware, but I worry about just assuming he's not talking about getting the games from us Cullenites. Of course, worrying is something I tend to do in general. ![]()
I hope you're feeling better soon, Sister Goldring!
LOL Yeeeah. I mean surely it's been added to in the interim, but still... So many questions.Interesting. So, question is, why would The!Book have drawings of the DA2 characters?----from 18 years ago?
Well I can see him becoming more open and flirty when he gets to know Inquisitor better ^^
With candles I hope ;P
I think I have an unhealthy interest in DA lore.
That isn't possible I think

I've not seen DotS yet, what is the deal with the Book? I just assumed it was like her copy of Zapp Brannigan's Big Book of War or something?
this is also my hope since it shows up in DAI. My unfortunate suspicion, however, is that the book in DotS is subject to the same hand wavy retcon as the Kirkwall mention and the Justinia-Beatrix mixup. My feeling is the the movie makers orig intended DotS to fall between 9:37-9:40, which is why the orig official production blog listed the Divine as Justinia (who only ascended in 9:34), referenced Kirkwall (!), and ended with Cass seemingly being sent on her quest to find Hawke. Something (!) made them change it.It's possible, I guess. Maybe The Book Mystery will be revealed in DAI?
So now I reckon the book is just some Book of Secrets that Cass's investigations get added to over time. hopefully there's a more elegant explanation.
Given the picture of Shale in there, I have the amusing mental picture of Cass being the unfortunate Seeker sent to Ferelden to find out why most of the Fereldan poultry were being mysteriously wiped out after the Blight.
"Cass and the Curious Case of the Colossus Crushing Chickens..."
The last scene of DotS has the Divine give THE book to Cassandra, with some cryptic comments about a storm coming. However, the movie takes place in 9:22. (See my prev post for my suspicions) [[I also meant to mention that I don't believe these references are spoilers... In fact they have very little connection with the movie's plot]]I've not seen DotS yet, what is the deal with the Book? I know you never said you hated his voice. Okay Hypothetical situation. What if you had to kill Cullen? Could you do it knowing that he is voiced by Greg Ellis?
Greg Ellis seems like a truly delightful human being, and I can't imagine ever wishing any harm upon him. He is not, however, Cullen... he's Greg, and nothing that happens to Cullen happens to the actor, so no, who is voicing the character doesn't really change my feelings in those circumstances.
I can't think of a lot of scenarios where I'd wish harm upon Cullen either, though. The only ways I could see my Inquisitor killing him would be if he was in some situation where it would be a mercy kill, or he had a complete personality transplant and was doing just awful things. I don't think it's very likely my Inquisitor would ever kill Cullen. He's a good man who doesn't always get it right but would benefit a lot more from some supportive people in his life than from being murderknifed.
I can see Cullen having a very naughty sense of humor. Maybe not vulgar, per se. But I think he has few surprises waiting for us...hurrrr.
I agree with this. I don't think he'd ever be roll-your-eyes vulgar, and I don't think strangers would ever see that side of him, but when he was in a relationship and was confident that his affections were appreciated, I think he would be capable of being playfully naughty. He would probably blush and stammer a little when the relationship was new, but once it was established I think he'd be able to relax and show that playful (not necessarily vulgar) side.
Lol
.
I can't help if, I really, really hate Howe.
When I finally killed him it felt GOOOD. But then I was like "I kinda wanna kill him in a more painful manner.... can I get some man eating bugs or something? Bees? No? Oh well...."
Actually R2, that isn't a retcon. There was actually something happening in Kirkwall at the time, when Beatrix was in charge.this is also my hope since it shows up in DAI. My unfortunate suspicion, however, is that the book in DotS is subject to the same hand wavy retcon as the Kirkwall mention and the Justinia-Beatrix mixup.
